Discovery Day came to Greenville, SC on Monday, April 29!    Prospective franchisees from Las Vegas NV, St.Louis MO, Columbia SC, Washington DC, Denver CO, Lexington SC, Cleveland OH, and Kentucky, visited corporate headquarters for a preview day of what it’s like to own their own 9Round Kickboxing Franchise.

This week 9Round Corporate Headquarters in Greenville, South Carolina, is hosting franchise training camp!  Highly motivated owners and trainers from across the country are in town to learn the ins and outs of operating their 9Round franchise.  In camp this week, are owners and trainers from Deerfield Beach, FL; Rochester, MN; Seneca, SC; San Antonio, TX; Northbrook, IL; and Knoxville, TN! Several Greenville area gyms have been lucky enough to even have these great new owners working the floor during their afternoon shifts!  If you see a few new faces working at your local 9Round tonight, give them a big fist-bump and let them know what a great job their doing!

The 9Round Corporate Team is proud to announce the opening of our newest franchise in the University of North Carolina-Charlotte area!  Maria Rogers and Wendy Melson will be opening the doors on April 20, 2013 at 9 am.  Wendy and Maria are very excited to be a part of such an exciting brand, and will be on track to open more gyms in the not too distant future. In the tradition of 9Round we wanted to give more information on Wendy and Maria and how they draw their inspiration:

A friend of mine turned me on to 9Round and I have not been able to stop thinking about it from the moment she said the words “9Round Kickboxing gym, you’re going to love it!” I have been in the fitness industry for over 10 years as a personal trainer and boot camp instructor and I knew that I wanted to be a part of this.  It fits all the industry trends and most of all it is just awesome! My next thought was to talk to Wendy Melson, a client turned friend for 4 years. This girl loves working out, she is in killer shape and she loves to box. Wendy and I have done USMC Mud Runs, 1/2 marathons, weekly runs, and workouts together.  My parents died too young from poor health and 13 years ago I was on the same path, being 40 lbs over weight. I lost that 40 lbs by eating right and kick boxing!  It changed my life, I became a trainer and have been dedicated to this ever since.  It is really the most rewarding industry to be in.  I call it the preventive side of health care. I will have to say it was not easy for us to get to this point. We really fought for this and we are so grateful for some wonderful people that believe in us enough to invest.  They believe in us and in the concept of 9Round!
We are more than ready to get started and to get people in the University area in shape 9Rounds at a time!

Having been introduced to boxing as a form of exercise more than 15 years ago, I was all over the 9Round concept as soon as Maria told me about it. I lost my job twice within a 1 year period while working in the corporate world and saw co-owning a 9Round with Maria as a way to free myself from corporate America and live the dream (my dream). I honestly could not be more passionate about anything! After attending Discovery Day in Oct, we certainly did our homework by contacting and/or visiting almost all of the 9Round locations as well as becoming very close to the Corporate Team. Everyone in the 9Round Nation has been welcoming and very patient as well as supportive to us through this process.  We are super excited to open our first and then our second location!

9Round Franchise candidates are invited to the upcoming Discovery Day on Monday, July 16th. The event starts at 10 a.m. EST. Discovery Day is held at 9Round company headquarters in Greenville SC.

Discovery Day will be hosted by founder and CEO Shannon and co-founder and COO Heather Hudson along along with President Tom Sagehorn, who heads up franchise development. Candidates are invited who have applied and are pre-qualified for consideration as a franchisee.

Our candidates always have a strong interest in fitness, athletics, business and people — this is the prototype of the kind of person to become a member of the 9Round Nation.

Discovery Day is a time for us to all get to know each other better, explore our concept and visit franchisees at their 9Round Fitness Centers. Discovery Day is educational, exciting and gives attendees an up and close look at our franchise. This is a day not to miss.

For out of area candidates, 9Round will pay for up to 2 nights at the local Hampton. In this case the nights would be Sunday night, July 15th and Monday night.

Shannon “the Cannon” Hudson, Founder and CEO of 9Round Fitness Franchises, is pleased to announce that 9Round Franchising has awarded franchise rights to John and Susan Evans to open a 9Round Fitness Center in Jackson, Tennessee.

John and Susan commented jointly that “when we found that 9Round can give us a full body workout in only 30 minutes with a trainer at a great price, we new we had to bring the 9Round Nation to West Tennessee. At Discovery Day we loved the workout and the whole 9Round experience with Shannon, Heather, Tom and Drew. They showed great leadership and that was all it took for us to commit to becoming a 9Round franchise owner.”
