Bio - Mills Stover

I grew up with a passion for sports and the active lifestyle. Encouraged by my parents at a young age I was involved in many local youth and church athletic programs here in Greenville, SC. I attended my first three years of high school locally at J.L. Mann where I competed on the football, basketball, and soccer team also pole vaulted on the track team. For my senior year I chose to go abroad and lived in Finland. Truly an independent and life growing experience. I enrolled at the College of Charleston following my return and graduated with a political science major. During my college years I worked for a radio group handling onsite broadcast promotions and also did the traffic report for the afternoon drive. Upon graduating I transferred to another radio group and was the promotions manager and later the overnight radio host. It was here in Charleston that I discovered martial arts. I enrolled with Masters Studio under 6th degree black belt Mike St. Amand. I studied Shaolin Kempo, KungFu, Ju-Jitsu and Tai Chi. I competed in tournaments in South Carolina, Georgia, and Florida. I went undefeated in 1996. In 1997 I moved to Aspen, Co where I spent two years working for the Snowboard and Ski School on Snowmass Mountain. While in Aspen I studied under 7th Degree Master Instructor Jeff Moonitz at Rocky Mountain Martial Arts in the Korean martial art of Soo Bahk Do Moo Duk Kwan. I went undefeated in Colorado in 1998 and competed i n the Moo Duk Kwan national tournament in Cincinnati, OH placing third.

From 1999 - 2004 I lived in Los Angeles, CA working in the entertainment industry. I have worked on over 35 television shows and 6 films. It was in LA that I took up strength and conditioning workouts. After moving back to Greenville in 2004 I continued to do strength training while playing basketball and running for my cardio workout. In 2009 I was introduced to Shannon and Heather Hudson at their 9Round location. They put me through my first workout and I signed up on the spot. As a participant first I realized the gains I was achieving and felt the energy of the others. I knew I had to be more involved..
