Shannon began formal karate training at the age of 7 and received his 1st Degree Black Belt at the age of 10. Currently Shannon is a 5th Degree Black Belt in Japanese Shotokan Karate and a 4th Degree Black Belt under the prestigious Joe Lewis' Fighting System. Shannon got the bug to compete after watching his older brother win 2 World Titles in Professional Kickboxing in the late 90's. After 60 amateur boxing and kickboxing bouts combined, Shannon was ask to turn professional and compete on Chuck Norris' World Combat League (WCL) in 2005. Since then Shannon has competed in professional boxing and kickboxing, with bouts in Canada and Europe. Shannon plans to fight for the World Title in October of 2011 in Toronto Canada. Shannon is currently trained by legendary boxing trainer Xavier Biggs who is the Director of Boxing Training for 9Round Franchising LLC. Shannon's business career began during college. He partnered with his older brother operating three Martial Arts Academies. In 2008 Shannon took the excitement of boxing and kickboxing training into a fast, fun, and affordable workout that any fitness level could do. In July of 2008 the first 9Round opened its doors and the rest is history.

Heather has been with the company since inception in 2007. She is a black belt in Shotokan Karate as well as one of the head trainers at the headquarters location. Heather will be providing operational support to franchisees geared towards teaching the 9Round trainers, marketing, client satisfaction and retention programs.

Tom Sagehorn serves as our national franchise sales representative and is founder of The Franchise House, Inc. a franchise consulting and brokerage concern. He is a member of the respected Franchise Brokers Association and is affiliated with The Franchise Alliance. He has worked for and counseled many major franchisors, both mature and emerging. He has served in C-Level executive positions with public and private organizations, including serving as general counsel. He has published articles such as "The Future of Franchising in America" in Nation's Restaurant News and "Conflicting Provisions Between Franchises and Leases" in the ABA's Practical Real Estate Lawyer. He is a member of the highly respected World Presidents Organization, FCA Circle of Champions and CEO's Against Cancer (Illinois). His business career spans 3 decades in franchising, management and consulting since graduation from Stanford and SMU Law.
