Benefits of Changing Your Workout Routine

The change in seasons is the perfect time to get out your workout rut and into something new and exciting. If you are like the me from three years ago, you followed the same exact workout routine every single day. My days went something like this at the gym. The first part of my workout was the treadmill for 30 minutes at a moderate pace (I couldn’t run for the life of me). After cardio, I went straight to the weight machines and went down each one. Seriously, I had no idea what I was doing. I didn’t know which muscle I was working or the benefits of each exercise. Then I would go into this little room I would call the “ab room.” In this room they had medicine balls, yoga balls, ab rollers, etc. The point is, I followed this routine each time I went to the gym. When it comes to exercise, many of us are creatures of habit. We go to the same class at the gym, run the same pace and time on the treadmill, and use the same amount of weights for the different exercises each time. Change can be scary, and we all just want to stick with what is familiar. Once I found 9Round, I was able to step out of my comfort zone and really reap all of the benefits from this amazing workout.  Here is how changing up your workouts can be benefit you!

Beat Boredom
When you are on the bicycle or elliptical, do you find yourself looking at the time and counting down the seconds until it’s over? If so, it’s time to switch things up! With 9Round, I am NEVER bored and for so many reasons.

  • There is a trainer with you for the entire workout. It’s like getting a free trainer with your membership. All of the trainers are full of energy and enthusiasm. They truly care about your fitness goals, and they will motivate you every time you are there.
  • There is always great music playing during my workout! One thing we all want with a good workout is a good playlist. You can avoid the headphones falling off and skipping slow songs with great music playing the entire time in the gym.
  • My workout is different every time! Do you like to work out seven days a week? No problem. 9Round will deliver a completely different routine each day.

Break Through A Weight-Loss Plateau
Were you seeing the number on the scale drop every week? Could you notice the changes in your body after the first two months, but now you have plateaued? Adding variety to your workouts will keep your exercises from becoming ineffective. You want to challenge your body in a way that it’s not used to. When your body works harder to adjust to a new exercise, you will burn more calories during the workout. Different workouts each day will keep your muscles challenged and the results coming!

Prevent Injuries & Repair Your Body
Without proper recovery, your body can gradually become weaker instead of stronger. If you are doing the same workout everyday, you are targeting the same muscles groups. When those certain muscle groups don’t have enough time to heal, you increase the chances of injuries. Try to remember that exercise gives you more energy, so if you’re feeling tired or noticing a continuing soreness, you could be overtraining!

As a busy mother, I literally do not have the time to sit down and research different types of exercises for each day of the week. I want to get in and out of the gym as quickly as possible, and I like to know that I truly got in a great and effective workout in for the day. So, how do I switch up my workouts without having to think about it? 9Round. Visit www.9Round.com for more information on how it works and why it works!
