After a brief professional boxing career, Xavier assisted his younger brother Tyrell, as Tyrell made the transition to professional boxing after becoming America’s first Olympic Super Heavyweight Gold Medal Champion. Xavier served as an assistant coach for the Holyfield Amateur Boxing Team and worked with the USA Olympic Boxing program during the 1996 Olympic Games held in Atlanta. He will forever be known as one of the greatest trainers in the sport. Xavier is well known as the best hand pad man in the business. Xavier was inducted into the Georgia Boxing Hall of Fame in June of 2009. He continues to be the most dominant presence in the Atlanta fight scene.

He is currently the owner of The Decatur Boxing Club and is also author of "The Sweet Sucker Punch." Shannon "The Cannon" Hudson began training with Xavier Biggs in 2002. Biggs served as The Cannon’s head trainer for his IKF World Championship win in October 2011.
