  • Honestly its hard to choose. Probably the diversity. The exercises are always different and they work my whole body. That said, if it wasn't kickboxing, or I wasn't able to workout whenever I wanted, I probably wouldn't show up.

  • Some gyms run on this CrossFit model which forces people to schedule working out first. I like how 9Rounds makes me feel like part of a community but not confined to an exact time. If I am running 10 min late I still get a great workout and Coach Jen still knows I hate mountain climbers because that’s what community is.

  • The first day I went was very crowded; it had zero impact because of the way 9Round is structured. Every station I went to, even in only three minutes, two or three trainers came over to check on and encourage me. It is impossible to pick one thing I like best. In and out in fast with a total workout. Trainers make small changes in form so all levels of fitness have a doable yet challenging workout. No easy day for anyone! They monitor our heart rate and effort and give immediate feedback. The Belle View owner and trainers are beyond excellent with attention, attitude, and customer service.

  • Ismael <span class="nick-name">"Ish"</span> Venegas
    Ismael "Ish" Venegas
    A California transplant that has called DC home since the since the late 90’s, “Ish” is a fitness junkie who believes that fitness and fun go hand in hand. With a background in Muay Thai and American Kickboxing, his goal is to ensure that every member gets the best and most efficient workout possible in the shortest amount of time. Since fitness and nutrition have always been major components in his life, he is committed to ensure that every member achieves their personal fitness goals.
  • Dave <span class="nick-name">"Dangerous"</span> Blake
    Dave "Dangerous" Blake
    Originally from Florida, “Dangerous” Dave is an Army veteran who has called Alexandria home for over a decade. In his previous military career, Dave served as a Medical Officer, Master Fitness Trainer, and Combatives Instructor. Also during this time, he learned to speak Thai and fell in love with the sport of Muay Thai Kickboxing. Dangerous believes that there is a fighter in all of us. His personal mission is to arm us with the tools to excel in all aspects of our lives and fight against the daily grind.

    Graham "Witness" Ocker
    Graham "Witness" Ocker has lived in Virginia since 2008. He is currently a student at a local college and is pursuing a degree in history. Witness has been a lifelong athlete and has a passion for Mixed Martial Arts with his favorite discipline being Muay Thai Kickboxing. His goal is to help every person who comes into the gym become the best version of themselves.

    Jenny "Juke-ums" Jordan
    Jenny "Juke-ums" grew up in Alexandria and attended Edison High School in the Franconia area. Jenny still resides in Alexandria where she has raised her two sons in Ft. Hunt. Since being able to walk, she has been avid in sports soccer, basketball, softball and gymnastics, you name it she has attempted the sport and continues to lead an active lifestyle. Jenny decided to pursue her passion for sports and fitness and recently became certified through ACSM as a personal trainer. Jenny believes in making the experience fun and enjoyable and is here to help meet your fitness goals.
