Kari Carlson - Owner
I started as a member at 9Round Bettendorf in 2015 and absolutely fell in love with the workouts, the atmosphere, and the company. I started my career... as a part-time trainer, then manager, and eventually had the opportunity to purchase the gym where it all began. Our mission is "Making Members STRONGER IN 30 MINUTES Both Physically and Mentally" and that is exactly why I do what I do! This is my dream job, yet I never work a day in my life! More
My first relationship with 9Round began in 2017 when I joined as a member. I was working with the Rock Steady boxing program training people with Par...kinson’s to fight their disease by training like a boxer. The membership allowed me to develop better programs for the fighters which were challenging, always different and that incorporated exercises to increase strength, agility and balance while having fun. In 2018 when I had an opportunity to join the training team I jumped at the chance. After a long career in Insurance I became a Certified Personal trainer in 2018. I am also a licensed massage therapist, Delay the Disease trainer and Rock Steady Boxing Coach. Something interesting you may not know about me: I was born on my father’s 31st birthday. If your goal is to improve mentally and physically, regardless of your current fitness level, 9Round is the place for you. I look forward to being a member of your team and to serve you as you work toward your specific fitness goals. More
I’ve been a trainer with 9Round Bettendorf, since Oct 2018. My favorite part of my career is watching members get stronger and more confident. I lov...e the unique connection you make with everyone. I enjoy practicing yoga, biking Iowa, and training at 9Round Bettendorf. My husband Marcus and I enjoy spending time with family and chasing around our daughter, Ada. On the off-chance I get a moment to catch my breath, you can find me at a local coffee-spot or looking for the next local culinary treasure. More

I danced for 10 years competitively and was on my high school dance team, in which we became state champs in Pom and jazz. I lost 20-30 pounds my soph...omore year of college from discipline and determination, through 9Round and workouts on my own! I started as a 9Round member about two and a half years ago. I’ve always felt at home at this gym, the relationships that have been created and maintained. I love feeling stronger physically but also mentally! Working out at 9Round changes my mood positively and keeps me coming back for more! I am a very good communicator and find it’s easy for me to relate to other people. I enjoy learning new things, which is what drew me to trying 9Round Kickboxing! More
