Incorporating kickboxing and boxing techniques through circuit training, strength training, aerobic and anaerobic exercises. 9Round has changed my life in more ways than one. September 2012, I went to a faith to fitness retreat in TN. This retreat was right after I had graduated from nursing school, so let'ace face it, I had packed on a few pounds during my school career - 22 to be exact. At this retreat, it focused not only on the physical aspect of life, but also the mental. I had been stressed out with school and life in general so while secluded in the back hills of Tennessee at this retreat, I met someone who introduced me to boxing. She taught me how it A) releases stress B) is a good workout and C) how to fight for myself, for my life. So I came home so in love with boxing. I asked around and my trainer from another gym told me about 9Round. I was so excited to try it out! After the first workout, although I got my butt kicked, I was hooked.
I've been a member at 9Round since October 2012. Within the first 9 months, I had lost the extra 22 pounds that I gained in nursing school, gained strength (I can now at least pick up the sandbag without a huge struggle), improve my form each time, and it's such a great stress relief. It's also a great reminder that I am a fighter and can beat any battle I set my mind to. While at 9Round, I feel the trainers truly care about their clients and want them to succeed. That moment when you've given everything you have and feel like you cannot do one more thing and that trainer comes over and gets on the floor to do it with you, or is standing right by you cheering you on and you succeed... THAT is why I love it there!
My next goal is to be able to do pull-ups. I have been trying for years and never been able to. I am so close now I can feel it! So excited to continue growing and learning and getting in better shape. I'm also training for a Tough Mudder, so 9Round is perfect for preparing my body for those strange maneuvers that will need to be done and the strength exercises that I need to be ready for in June. It is so hard to explain just how great 9Round has been for me. I've changed my body and my mind since starting there a year and a half ago. I'm so much stronger physically and mentally and I love every minute of the fight.

Because our workout changes every day, you will have a trainer to instruct and motivate you throughout each and every workout.
We recommend starting with 3 workouts per week, however, you are welcome to come more.
You will receive 9Round Gloves, which will allow you to hit as hard as you want without the risk of injury.
You will also have access to our 9Round Nutrition Guide written by Dr. Rick Kattouf. You will learn the 4 principles that will help you burn body fat and build lean muscle.
You will also receive 9Round Hand Wraps for wrist support and comfort. Don't worry, our trainers will teach you how to wrap your hands in no-time.
Got a nutrition question? You will receive direct access to Dr. Kattouf through the Online 9Round Nutrition Forum to get the answers you need.
