My Favorite Fat Burning Pumpkin Frappe Recipe
Pumpkin everything is upon us! We are bombarded daily, especially this time of year, with tons of pumpkin flavored treats. Unfortunately, most of these are full of empty calories that derail our fat loss goals. Never fear….. Heather “the Hero” is here!
Following the principles of 9Round Nutrition, here is a simple and YUMMY Pumpkin Frappe Smoothie you can enjoy as a snack mid-morning or mid-afternoon:
1 Cup Almond Milk
1 Cup ice
1.5 Scoops(2 scoops for males)Load-Reload (powder supplement by Dr. Kattouf, 9R Nutrition Coach)
2 TBSP pure pumpkin puree (I found a great organic option at Whole Foods that isn’t in a can, meaning, no metal after taste!)
1 TSP pumpkin pie spice (I spend the extra dollar and bought organic spices. It’s just worth it!)
Simply combine all the above ingredients in a blender on high for at least a full minute. BOOM!
It’s thick. It’s creamy. It’s so YUMMMMY!
This is absolutely my go-to post workout choice. I usually workout right before I pick up my kids from school, and then I immediately go home and make this snack. It’s sinfully good.
If you can’t go home, I seriously suggest buying a blender for yourself at work and putting it in your break room. This will keep you from spending $4.50 a day on at TenBucks Coffee Shop, OR WORSE…eating half stale donuts that are staring you down in the break room.
EXTRA FABULOUS FACTOID:

It has a cinnamon vanilla flavor and is ideal for pre-workout fuel first thing in the morning (if you work out early) because it’s thin when you mix it only with water, so it doesn’t make you feel heavy right before a workout. (Hint, hint…there’s never an excuse to work out on an empty stomach!) If it’s been a while since I’ve eaten, and I’m about to workout, I’ll drink this with only water and then workout. Otherwise, I prefer to drink it in this smoothie format after my killer 9Round workouts!
