About the team
Joseph Crisp is the owner and lead trainer here at 9Round Boulder. He earned his first black belt when he was 10 in Judo, he second black belt in Jui-...Jitsu at the age of 15. Joined the Marine Corps in 2008 after graduating high school as Valedictorian of his class and while stationed in Hawaii studied Brazilian Jui-Jitsu under Gracie and studied Karate earning himself a third black belt. While Deployed to Helmond Province Afghanistan he earned his 4th black belt in Marine Corps Martial Arts. Joseph served 12 years in the Marines, retired and purchased the 9Round club March of 2020. Where do we start with Matthew. When he is not out exploring the vistas of Colorado with his favorite roommate, Pokes, he is here working with members... to become certified gangsta's. Born in Oakland CA, Matthew started boxing at the age of 16 to add onto his list of sports such as basketball, football and rugby. While being an All-American in all of the above, he maintained his down to earth mentality to focus on training others, something he would fall in love with. Matthew quickly developed a passion towards pushing others to achieve their goals, and has found many therapeutic benefits to kickboxing as a workout. My name is Quincy Marcotte. I’m a junior at The University of Colorado Boulder, and fitness is the name of my game!
