9Round Clemson opened in 2012.  Prior to 9Round opening, fitness in Clemson, SC was typical.  Boring routines, silly machines and additional costs for personal trainers.  9Round has changed the game by offering a different routine everyday, a full body workout in just 30 minutes, no class times & a trainer included every time...at no additional cost.  The owner, Andrea Burdette & manager, Britiney Evans make sure every member gets personal attention along with a great workout!!

Strength: Stations 1-2

You'll use dumb bells, kettle bells, medicine balls, jump ropes and other equipment to build strength and stamina. Our trainers help you at every station.

Kickbox Fitness: Stations 3-8

The real fun begins as you punch and kick heavy bags to build power, double end bags to increase coordination and timing, and speed bags to develop shoulder conditioning and speed.

Abs & Core: Station 9

You’ll tighten and strengthen all the muscles in one of the most common trouble spots, your core, which improves your ability to perform any movement you do for work, exercise, or leisure.

How It Works

  • You wear your 9ROUND PULSE belt during your workout.
  • As you work out, the device tracks how hard you’re working and displays your effort rating, your heart rate and calories burned on a monitor inside the 9Round club.

  • Andrea, I wanted to send an "official" note of thanks to you and all of the 9Round Clemson staff for the support, motivation, and understanding given during my workouts! This is exactly the kind of gym and workouts I was looking for and the fact that everyone is so willing to accommodate my many injuries and mechanical quirks is what's going to keep me coming in. What you may not really know about me is that I'm a retired Marine who pushed hard for more than 20 years, but suffered recurring lower leg and knee injuries throughout and at the end of my career dealt with some devastating (physically) breathing and metabolic/thyroid issues. If I weren't able to go ahead and retire, I would've been forced out medically. I say all that to let you know that I've pushed myself hard my whole life physically in the Marine Corps and even ran four marathons and countless other races. But now I'm broken, can't run, and gained weight so quickly. It's humbling. So when I say I can't do an exercise, it kills me to admit it because I used to be a gym beast not long ago, but I've learned that it is better to suck it up and do what I CAN do now. (If you only knew how many mountain climbers, burpees, and footlocker dips I've done -- but no more.) In the past whenever I was coming off injuries or fighting the thyroid issues, I would hire a personal trainer to help me get back in the game, but those individual PT sessions are financially no longer an option, so 9 Rounds is perfect! And finally, I wanted to pass along my kudos for Trisha! She is awesome. The modifications she gives me are perfect in that they still kick my butt (and arms, and abs, etc), but she understands my concerns. We often collaborate on a modification too, which is empowering. She is challenging while also concerned and motivating. The two of you make a great team in the gym and I look forward to continuing my work with y'all -- and everyone else at 9 Round Clemson.

  • I joined 9 round in June of 2014. I turned 40 that April and came to the scary realization that by being overweight and horribly out of shape I was putting myself in real danger. I stopped by 9 round one day and although they were closed Andrea was there and walked me through the 9 round process. I went the next day and now I feel lost if I miss a day! Great work out, awesome trainers, so easy to get started!!

  • "I love that the workouts are so short but really push me. It doesn't feel like im walking into the gym and thinking about sets and reps, but instead I get to just work hard for thirty minutes and know that my body is changing. I hate every other way of working out besides 9 round and I will never do any other type of exercise besides 9 round. In just 2 months I have lost 16lbs and lots of inches off my stomach, arms and waist. I have also toned up a ton (Granted I do go five days a week). I have never felt like my core could repel a rock like it could now...All that being said, I never wanted to lose weight for vanity sake. I am trying to honor the Lord in keeping my body healthy which includes eating well, not just working out so that I can eat horribly. I really feel like this workout helps me enjoy my day, my work, my friendships and my relationship with the Lord more than before".

I joined February 1, 2014, and have since lost 8.5 lbs, exercising and eating properly.     After being an insurance professional for 17 years, it was time for a change. With health and fitness being a priority in my life, being a gym owner was a natural fit. I work very hard on hiring the right trainers, researching challenging drills, motivating each and every member & staying current on any and all areas of improvement regarding 9Round Clemson! As your gym owner & operator, you are guaranteed to get a killer workout when "THE BOSS" is in the gym!!

    Britiney "Baby Boss" Evans (Gym Manager)
    Britiney has been a part of 9R Clemson since the beginning. She has gone through extensive 9R training with founder, Shannon "The Cannon" Hudson. Britiney not only manages the gym but she is also an outstanding trainer and leader to her peers. She was involved in many sports through out her youth including, Taekwondo & Martial Arts. Britiney graduated Wren High School and studied Audio & Video Production @ the Art Institute of Atlanta. Britiney is your full time manager and when she is not motivating, coaching, or challenging members in the gym, she is busy being my awesome daughter!

    Tricia "TNT" Arndt
    Welcome aboard TNT-Dynamite! Tricia and her husband of 21 years have been members @ 9R Clemson since August 2013. Tricia has participated in several weight loss challenges and contests through her journey as a member @ 9R Clemson. She has had a complete body transformation including losing a total of 32 pounds since 2013. Tricia has two children, Spencer & Grace that both attend Clemson University. Tricia has a degree in education from the University of Southern Indiana. She enjoys being active and staying healthy. When Tricia is not in the gym, she may be participating in a marathon, mud runs or a local 5K. Her active lifestyle and driven personality make Tricia a great choice for our team @ 9Round Clemson.     Cole "The Hammer" Halverson
    Welcome our newest addition to 9R Clemson, The HAMMER! Cole has been a member @ 9Round on and off for 2 years. He was and still is very dedicated to his workouts. Cole's determination in and out of the gym started in his youth. Athletically Cole was a four year letterman quarterback during his high school days in Columbia, SC. Academically he has always been an honor roll student including the Dean's list at Clemson. More recently, Cole took on an additional role as a Math 1020 Supplemental Instructor for the University. By aiding students with techniques, Cole allows them to reach their full independent learning potential in this class and beyond. Cole is studying Political Science and Economics at Clemson. What he loves most about working at 9round is having fun while helping people achieve their fitness goals and being able to have a good time and smile while working!
