  • It's a great workout if you are trying to lose weight and gain cardio endurance. You have to understand that there are no heavy weights or pull up bar so major strength gains are not happening and it is not the place to work on technique because things move very quickly. But understanding what it is and what it is not makes it effective workout.

  • 9Round doesn’t allow clients to get “in a rut” with workouts. Each “round” changes daily providing variety for a full body workout. Trainers are available to provide assistance, expertise and encouragement. Monitors are available providing immediate personal feedback as to intensity as well as long term tracking of workouts.   • Rob <span class="nick-name">"FINCH"</span> Kay
    Rob "FINCH" Kay
    I grew up in Anderson, SC and was a member of a 9Round for 3 years. After completing a bachelor's degree in Hospitality, Retail, and Sport Management I became a 9Round owner in Columbia, SC. Being a gym owner was a natural fit, and after a year of owning and operating my gym in Columbia, I decided to do the same thing in Clemson. I love everything about 9Round and will continue to work hard on hiring great trainers, creating challenging drills, and looking for ways to continue improving 9Round Clemson. One thing I can guarantee you is that when you come into my gym, you will leave excited and ready to come back every time!

    Jamie "DRAGON" Peterson
    Jamie was a loyal member before becoming a trainer in October 2016. She has since worked her way to the head-trainer position. Jamie adds, "I was a cheerleader and honor roll student at my high school in Edmond, Oklahoma. I coached gymnastics for two years before graduating and moving to Clemson for college. I am studying Health Sciences and intend to go to physical therapy school after graduating. My favorite thing about working at 9round is that it makes me feel like I have a family here in Clemson, with my family being all the way in Oklahoma." You are sure to be greeted with a big smile and leave sweating when Jamie is training!

    Shannon "THE SAVAGE" Riley
    The Savage came to us from Boston, MA and is studying Health Science with a dual concentration in Health Promotion and Education and Pre-Prefessional Health Studies. She joined our gym as a member in August 2016 and became a trainer in March 2017. She is always looking for ways to improve your workouts and is often found encouraging members to reach their highest CHOW number or talking to them about nutrition (a very important part of your 9Round). In addition to training members, Shannon takes on much of 9Round Clemson's PR responsibilities. When asked what she liked most about being a trainer she replied, "9Round Clemson provides me with the fitness family I need to encourage me to be my best self all of the time." Next time you see Shannon make sure you thank her for keeping nutrition on our minds and tough burpee drills!

    Melissa "FIRECRACKER" Williams
    After growing up in Charleston, SC as a competitive swimmer for most of her life, MELISSA only found it fitting to immerse herself in fitness once again. Although she is new to 9Round altogether, She was eager to join our team and has quickly picked everything up. Melissa is a currently a Senior at Clemson University majoring in Language & International Health with a concentration in Health Administration. She spent last semester studying abroad and interning in a hospital in Spain and she is passionate about improving the health of others and herself. She may be our smallest trainer, but don’t underestimate her! She’s sure to make you break a sweat and leave with a smile!

    Tyler "BIEBER" Weimer
    Tyler "Beiber" Weimer. is originally PA but moved to Chapin, SC in high school. He is a senior studying Economics at Clemson University. Tyler is very active in intramural sports and enjoys hiking, traveling, and playing sports. He is new to 9Round as well but says it has quickly become one of his favorite things to do. Tyler is very excited to help our members accomplish all of their fitness goals!!!
