My husband and I love working out at 9 Round. It's fun and we get amazing fitness results! We love that each work-out is different so we never get bored. Andrea and her team are great trainers - they maintain a positive, supportive environment while pushing us to challenge ourselves and reach our goals.
Andrea, I wanted to send an "official" note of thanks to you and all of the 9Round Clemson staff for the support, motivation, and understanding given during my workouts! This is exactly the kind of gym and workouts I was looking for and the fact that everyone is so willing to accommodate my many injuries and mechanical quirks is what's going to keep me coming in. What you may not really know about me is that I'm a retired Marine who pushed hard for more than 20 years, but suffered recurring lower leg and knee injuries throughout and at the end of my career dealt with some devastating (physically) breathing and metabolic/thyroid issues. If I weren't able to go ahead and retire, I would've been forced out medically. I say all that to let you know that I've pushed myself hard my whole life physically in the Marine Corps and even ran four marathons and countless other races. But now I'm broken, can't run, and gained weight so quickly. It's humbling. So when I say I can't do an exercise, it kills me to admit it because I used to be a gym beast not long ago, but I've learned that it is better to suck it up and do what I CAN do now. (If you only knew how many mountain climbers, burpees, and footlocker dips I've done -- but no more.) In the past whenever I was coming off injuries or fighting the thyroid issues, I would hire a personal trainer to help me get back in the game, but those individual PT sessions are financially no longer an option, so 9 Rounds is perfect! And finally, I wanted to pass along my kudos for Trisha! She is awesome. The modifications she gives me are perfect in that they still kick my butt (and arms, and abs, etc), but she understands my concerns. We often collaborate on a modification too, which is empowering. She is challenging while also concerned and motivating. The two of you make a great team in the gym and I look forward to continuing my work with y'all -- and everyone else at 9 Round Clemson.
I joined 9 round in June of 2014. I turned 40 that April and came to the scary realization that by being overweight and horribly out of shape I was putting myself in real danger. I stopped by 9 round one day and although they were closed Andrea was there and walked me through the 9 round process. I went the next day and now I feel lost if I miss a day! Great work out, awesome trainers, so easy to get started!!
"I love that the workouts are so short but really push me. It doesn't feel like im walking into the gym and thinking about sets and reps, but instead I get to just work hard for thirty minutes and know that my body is changing. I hate every other way of working out besides 9 round and I will never do any other type of exercise besides 9 round. In just 2 months I have lost 16lbs and lots of inches off my stomach, arms and waist. I have also toned up a ton (Granted I do go five days a week). I have never felt like my core could repel a rock like it could now...All that being said, I never wanted to lose weight for vanity sake. I am trying to honor the Lord in keeping my body healthy which includes eating well, not just working out so that I can eat horribly. I really feel like this workout helps me enjoy my day, my work, my friendships and my relationship with the Lord more than before".
I loved 9 rounds! I have tried a lot of differnet work out programs and this one is phenomenal. The combination of a 30 minute workout, individual encouragement and instruction, a fun, challenging atmosphere, and exercises that combine to give you maximum strength and agility make for an amazing workout. There is just no wasting time. It's empowering and fun. I love that you can come whenever it fits your schedule and just jump right in. I was just here for the summer in Clemson so now I want a 9rounds in my own town!

I joined February 1, 2014, and have since lost 8.5 lbs, exercising and eating properly. I love the fact that I can carve out time for myself, knowing that I am going to get an excellent, different, workout daily every time I go to 9 Rounds! I cant say enough good things - regardless of where you are - all sizes and ages. 9Round Certified Trainers
Rob "FINCH" KayI grew up in Anderson, SC and was a member of a 9Round for 3 years. After completing a bachelor's degree in Hospitality, Retail, and Sport Management I became a 9Round owner in Columbia, SC. Being a gym owner was a natural fit, and after a year of owning and operating my gym in Columbia, I decided to do the same thing in Clemson. I love everything about 9Round and will continue to work hard on hiring great trainers, creating challenging drills, and looking for ways to continue improving 9Round Clemson. One thing I can guarantee you is that when you come into my gym, you will leave excited and ready to come back every time!
Megan "MACHINE" JohnsonMegan is a former 9Round member turned Head Trainer during her time studying at Clemson University. She graduated in 2016 with a Bachelor’s degree in Microbiology with a concentration in Biomedicine. Megan hopes to attend medical school in the future. In the meantime, she serves as 9Round Clemson’s manager. Her favorite thing about 9Round is the people, saying, “I love helping people be the best version of themselves. 9Round lets me do that in such a unique way!” Megan is guaranteed to make you ring the bell 3 times after every workout!
Jamie "DRAGON" PetersonJamie was a loyal member before becoming a trainer in October 2016. She has since worked her way to the head-trainer position. Jamie adds, "I was a cheerleader and honor roll student at my high school in Edmond, Oklahoma. I coached gymnastics for two years before graduating and moving to Clemson for college. I am studying Health Sciences and intend to go to physical therapy school after graduating. My favorite thing about working at 9round is that it makes me feel like I have a family here in Clemson, with my family being all the way in Oklahoma." Shannon "SQUAT QUEEN" RileyThe Squat Queen comes to us from Boston, MA. She is a rising Senior @ Clemson University where she is majoring in Health Science with a dual concentration in Health Promotion and Education & Pre-Prefessional Health Studies. Like most, Shannon joined our gym as a member first in August 2016. In March 2017 she became a 9RC trainer. When asked what she liked most about working at 9RC, she replied, "9Round Clemson provides me with the fitness family I need that encourages me to be my best self all of the time." Don't let Shannon's quiet demeanor fool you, she is always looking for ways to improve your workouts and cares about each and every member.
Zachary "THE FEARED" BeardZachary is not only a new trainer at 9Round Clemson, but new to 9Round all together. He stumbled across the trainer opportunity while exploring available jobs for the summer. Zachary is a rising senior studying Sports Communication with a minor in business. He plans to attend law school after graduation. Zachary adds, "9Round Clemson has quickly become the best job I've ever had. My favorite part of working at 9R is the really close-knit sense of community and how everyone knows each other on a first-name basis."
