  • Only 30 minutes, but an amazing full body workout.
    - Sep 20, 2019 by J.G.
  • The workout is very challenging but equally as fun. I appreciate that is a full body workout and that I get personal feedback from the trainers on how to improve my form and get the most out of each exercise. Given my busy schedule, I also really value the flexibility to drop in at any time to start the workout.

  • It is very personalized

  • great new trainers - better than a month or two ago when it was tough to get a great workout in the early hours (the only time I can come in) -- love Usie (sp?) who has great energy and presence.

  • No class times, trainers on hand, variety of workout, all levels...
    - Jul 10, 2019 by J.F.
  • There’s someone there to encourage me as I go.
    - Jul 5, 2019 by S.J.C.
  • I like the 9 distinct "rounds" (or "circuits"), each lasting 3 minutes with 30 seconds of vigorous "rest" in between. I can modify the round as I need, given any day's particular circumstance (tight here, need to work better form there, balance could be better in this part). The boxing and kickboxing kinetics are like disciplined movements; they compel me to learn how the turn the vertical, rotate hips or shoulders, and start movements from the lowest extremities extending out through arms or legs. Since joining, I've learned how the whole body works together in a way that can create a very pleasant (and demanding) flow. This didn't happen at first; it takes time to learn.

  • The freedom of starting whenever you arrive! Not being a slave to a class time. I love the trainers - they are challenging but encouraging! It's also fun!

  • The fact that it’s only 30 minutes so there’s no excuse not to go and that it’s a kick add workout every time.

  • I like that 9RD is a continuous workout that involves the entire body combining strength and cardiovascular exercise. I also like the enthusiasm that Sam (trainer) brings to his job every day. I really enjoy how he always actively engages with the members in the freestyle exercise and other rounds. He always helping everyone make the most of their workout. He puts in the extra effort making an ordinary workout into extraordinary workout.
    - Apr 25, 2019 by J.F.
  • I love that its a complete work out, including cardio, in approximately 30 minutes. I also love that there is no set "class" time; you just go when you can and get started and there are trainers there to guide you and keep you motivated. I especially like Sam, one of the trainers at Evanston. He has great energy and really knows how to motivate me without going over the top. He also ensures that you are doing proper technique so you don't injure yourself. Some days I really have to talk myself into going but after a workout with Sam and his music I'm pumped for the rest of my day!

  • I absolutely love 9Round! I've really made a connection with the few trainers that I go in and see and they motivate me to want to come back. I always go around the same time and so not only have I bonded with those trainers but also the other members. I like the sense of community that 9Round builds and that only makes me want to come in more!

  • 1) variations to every day workout routines 2) the all business, no social talk aspect of the workout routine. Get in, get through the nine rounds, get out. No social chatter. Love it. 3) the expertise, the instruction, the attention, and the professionalism of the individual trainers. I particularly like the sparring aspect with the trainer during the freestyle round. Thanks for the interest. I love Evanston 9Round and I go every weekday when I am in town.

  • What keeps me engaged and coming back after each workout is the varietion of each 30 mins everyday and energy of the environment. I tend to lose interest in the same routine and this shatters that problem. The staff are always supportive and working to make you better no matter your skill or ability. I will add that the training staff is a big part of what makes 9round special. Having a stable consistent group of trainers allows to develop rapport and relationships.
