Ted "T-ROCK" RiouxTed, together with his wife and daughter, is the owner of 9Round Fitness in Gorham. Prior to 9Round, Ted spent 20 years in the medical device and industrial automation industries. He holds degrees in biology, English, and business. Ted is applying his business experience and leadership skills towards bringing a world-class fitness option to Gorham.
Melissa "MAYHEM" Harris-RiouxMelissa is a Registered Nurse at Maine Medical Center. In addition to a BS in Nursing, Melissa also holds a BS in Health & Fitness and is a certified Fitness Nutrition Specialist through the American Council on Exercise (ACE). Melissa was a DI softball player at the University of Maine, has been a lifelong athlete, and continues to compete today in the sport of bodybuilding as a women's figure competitor. Melissa is passionate about sharing her knowledge and experience to help people live healthy and happy lives.
Michaela "BLACKWIDOW" DespinsMichaela is a 2017 graduate of the University of Southern Maine where she earned her BS in Athletic Training. Michaela is a Certified Personal Trainer, a Certified Health, Wellness, and Life Coach and is also a Wellness Advocate for doTERRA essential oils. Michaela played soccer at USM and has been a lifelong, multi-sport athlete. She strives to help athletes and non-athletes alike become better and more fit with the physical activities they engage in.
Travis "BIGFOOT" BushTravis is the Pastor at Southcoast Baptist Church in Scarborough. He comes to us from North Carolina where he was born and raised and where he competed as a DI collegiate basketball player. Travis is a devoted husband, brother, son and father to four great kids! Travis has aspired for many years to combine his passion for serving others with his love for sport and fitness. He is also one of the most caring and positive people I’ve ever met!
Beau "BEAUKNOWS13" MichaudBeau works as a fundraiser for the Portland office of a global non-profit organization focused on identifying and resolving pressing community issues around health, education, and income. He is also a graduate of Cedarville University in Ohio, where he competed as a thrower on the track and field team (and where he met his wife Alyssa). Beau looks forward to combining his experience and knowledge as a competitive collegiate athlete with his passion for giving back to the community.
Kim "KICKIN' KIM" ArenaKim is a long-time resident of Gorham and a proud mother of three wonderful, grown children. Kim is the Client Care Coordinator for Home Instead Senior Care and is also the Co-Director of Happy Healthy Gorham, a community-wide health and wellness initiative promoting the positive things life offers. Kim is educated as a nutritionist. Kim is passionate about life-long healthy and active living, and dedicates herself to the people she serves and the community she loves being a part of.
Liz "WOLVERINE" LeddyPortland’s very own Liz Leddy is one of the top female amateur boxers in the world! Liz is a 3-time National Golden Gloves Champion with 5 New England Championship titles under her belt and 7 National Silver Medals. Liz was the 2009 Women’s Continental Featherweight Bronze Medalist and in 2012 participated in the Olympic Games Prep Tournament, where she nearly beat (many thought did) the eventual lightweight (132lbs) Gold Medal winner. Liz continues to compete at the highest levels while sharing her gift by teaching USA Boxing technique to people of all ages out of the Portland Boxing Club.
Darrel "DANGER" GibsonDarrel is a mixed martial artist with expertise in boxing, Muay Thai, and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. With several professional MMA fights under his belt and an undefeated record, Darrel has competed at the highest levels of his sport. Darrel is not only a world-class competitor, he is also a highly motivated, effective, and professional trainer, skilled with advanced instruction. Darrel works in Law Enforcement where he teaches fellow officers Defensive Tactics and is also an experienced Self-Defense Instructor.
