Michelle "Mighty" ShewellMichelle is the owner of 9Round at 82nd St. She believes that fitness is here to be enjoyed and ensures that the atmosphere is always encouraging, energetic, and accepting. Michelle has always had a passion for helping others and became a nurse. As a nurse, Michelle discovered 9Round and instantly fell in love with the workouts. Her passion for 9Round grew to the point that she felt that she could continue helping people in new ways that nursing did not provide. Michelle believes her role is to motivate, enable and make working out a fun and rewarding experience at 9Round. Michelle loves to see members achieve their personal health and fitness goals through the 9Round way: Stronger in 30 minutes, both physically and mentally.
Danielle "Da Beast" WilliamsDanielle is the manager of 9Round Fitness at 82nd St. Danielle has been involved in a variation of sports since childhood and has always had a love for fitness and helping people. In 2017, she set a goal for herself to get healthy again and live her best life. By incorporating fitness into her daily life, Danielle lost 40 pounds and has gained a whole new, happier life. Now, Danielle wants to share her passion for fitness by inspiring others to live their best life.
Rick "The Brick" JamesRick has studied multiple forms of martial arts for 20+ years. He has competed in tournaments for Kickboxing and MMA. He is a CrossFit Level 1 instructor, certified self-defense instructor, and ISSA Certified Personal Trainer.
Jorge "Silverback" RamiezJorge's philosophy: "Win the day!!." His experience of 11 years in the Military and his passion for Bodybuilding and overall fitness has strongly influenced his training philosophy. Participation in overall fitness and 9Round training improves mental and physical health through functional movement, balance training, mental focus and positive thinking. We have all experienced challenges starting and maintaining a fitness program. Jorge's role as your trainer is to help you find your "why?", stay in motion and achieve your fitness goals, whether it is feeling and looking good or reaching your maximum performance level. Jazmin "The Hard Hitta" SandersJazmin is an Indiana University graduate eager to contribute more to the health and fitness industry. She loves to share her passion for fitness and has a strong desire in helping others live an active lifestyle by achieving their goals. When she is not in the gym, you can find her immersing herself in sports, whether it is by supporting family by visiting their football games, coaching high school volleyball, or playing herself as a means to keep active. Jazmin loves to create workout routines and spread her love for fitness and health by coaching family and friends on how to stay healthy and fit. When she is not in the gym, you can find Jazmin traveling overseas for philanthropy work or various places around the world for leisure. She also loves to try out new restaurants, go to music concerts, and spend time with her family and friends. Jazmin will bring lots of positive energy as she works with you to get you through 9rounds!
Mabuchi "Creed" KaluaGrowing up in Bloomington, IN, Mabuchi has a background in sports participating in track and field, basketball and soccer, with soccer being his primary sport. Soccer led to him competing in college at Anderson University, a Division III institution. Working as a college coach, as well as with youth from age 10-18 with Indiana Olympic Development Program, and Hoosier FC has led to Mabuchi developing a great range in how to help others. Coaching and training athletes now for 15+ years has has given him a platform to share his own passion for fitness while helping others any way he can in their journey.
