About the team
Mike is Operations Director and also trains members for 9Round Irvine, 9Round Anaheim, and 9Round Brea. Mike has many years experience in boxing, kick...boxing, martial arts, and as a certified personal trainer. He has competed as an amateur Golden Gloves boxer. Prior to moving to Orange County in 2017 he worked as a Trainer/Manager at 9Round clubs in Houston, TX. Mike previously worked in the field of disaster preparedness and response. Mike loves the 9Round workout and fun atmosphere in a busy 9Round club!! More
I enjoy fitness because it makes me strong, healthy, and happy. My preferred fitness style is boxing and kickboxing. I was introduced to boxing throug...h a colleague. Boxing got me into good physical and mental shape. I eventually started taking kickboxing classes because I wanted additional lower body workout. I enjoy the challenge of incorporating kicks into my combinations. Through boxing and kickboxing I meet great friends who train me and spend time with me inside and outside of the gym. I want members of 9Round to gain similar experience. My goals for our members are: 1) Learn correct technique and form in their exercises 2) Get into shape and improve health 3) Improve dexterity and balance 4) Have fun and make friends who share similar interests I look forward to assist 9Rounders! Hello Everyone! As a child, I grew up being inspired by fictional boxing figures like Rocky Balboa, and cultivated an immense passion for fitness and... contact sports. I began to practice both boxing and Krav Maga at an early age, and now have accumulated more than 5 years of experience in both. This experience has proved invaluable to me; I have become much more disciplined, confident, and healthy through my training. After graduating from UCI, I now want to help others develop this same passion for boxing that I have and to help others, whether veterans or beginners, explore boxing and fitness. I look forward to working and meeting all of you next time at 9Round! More

With both parents athletically inclined, my path of fitness started at an early age. This began with studying martial arts at age 4 continuing into te...am sports and wrestling in high school. I work on calisthenics and parkour on a regular basis, and for fun I practice circus arts and acrobatics. I hold two black belts in Tang Soo Do and Kenjutsu and have expanded my passion for fitness as a certified personal trainer. A positive attitude with a strong belief in no limitations. This is what I live by and I encourage my clients to see the value in this as well as having fun along the way. More

I got into fitness when I was going through depression. I refused to sit in a black hole feeling sorry for myself, so I put on my big girl pants and h...aven't taken them off since. Fitness has exposed what I'm capable of, if I set my mind to it. I did my first obstacle course "Spartan"in 2017 and I realized that I'm a lot stronger than I thought. I enjoy the fitness industry because it has taught me self-discipline and challenges me mentally and physically. 9Round Fitness has been what I've been looking for, the whole package. Weight training, cardio, plus kickboxing is the best therapy for anyone who needs to let off steam. I just want to help people by getting them in the best shape of their life mentally, physically and spiritually. More

What I like best about 9Round is there's no class times, so no matter what time I get there during their hours I start when I'm ready. The staff are all friendly and knowledgeable. The members you ge... t to know on a first name basis. And when it's busy or there is a first time workout client I can move to the next round and just read what I'm doing without interrupting anyone else. We also help each other out of needed. It's the best time-saving workout I have found. I know once I jump in, I'm done in 30 minutes which is huge for my lifestyle as a working dad. It's on my way home so its easy to plan for workout night... s. And it's WAY more fun and rewarding doing kickboxing than than just somewhere with weights and treadmills.
