WHOLE FOODS THAT “BUILD UP” & HEAL

 

FRUITS (raw & organic, whenever possible)

VEGETABLES (raw & organic, whenever possible)

WHOLE GRAINS (include varieties other than wheat, sprouted whenever possible, organic)

GOOD FATS (wild salmon; raw nuts & seeds; ground flax seeds; cage free, organic eggs; organic/hormone-free meats; almond butter; raw olive oil; butter for cooking; if dairy is consumed, please consider whole, raw and organic)

FIBER (include Juice Plus+ Complete to boost fiber intake)

WATER (filtered; prepares the body to release toxins and rests it from processing)

                                               

 

PROCESSED FOODS THAT “TEAR DOWN” & STEAL

 

SUGAR (especially refined)

“EXCITOTOXINS” (Aspartame by brand names like Equal or Nutrasweet, Splenda, MSG, caffeine, hydrolyzed vegetable protein)

ADDITIVES (artificial color, “natural” flavorings, sugar/fat substitutes)

STARCHES that turn into sugar quickly because of lack of fiber (white flour, white rice, pasta, bread, chips, cookies, crackers, cereal, etc.)

HYDROGENATED, FRACTIONATED, ALTERED or “TRANS” FATS (found in most processed and packaged foods)

 

THE BASICS

 

Eat whole food, as close to its natural state as possible.

Avoid toxins, processed or altered foods. It’s best to shop the perimeter of the grocery store, where whole foods are located.

Choose “build up” foods 80 - 90% of the time to strengthen the body you value!
