I've been to a number of gyms in the area, but I've never stuck with any of them as long as I have with 9Round. What's the difference? It's the people. Mike and Annie have assembled a great team of tr... ainers who really work to build rapport with the gyn members, and it's this chemistry that makes all the difference. Other places have trainers who confuse condescension and teasing with motivation. Not 9Round; the trainers push me to achieve more and they help me improve my form, but they never make me feel like I don't belong there. Additionally, if I need a modification because a joint is bothering me, they're happy to come up with alternatives. They even make a point to check in days later to ask, "Is this okay with your knee?" or suggest "If this bugs your shoulder, try something else." And if I need a second to catch my breath, they don't give me grief or accuse me of slacking. This respect and understanding makes me want to work harder. Most importantly, the trainers at 9Round are *real people.* They have taken the time to ask about my life and get to know me. We chat about sports, movies, weekend plans, and all sorts of things. Perhaps best of all, while they emphasize the importance nutrition, they never make anyone feel bad about enjoying food. I've been to places that try to not just educate, but actively shame people for their food choices. Needless to say, I'm no long going to those places. The funny thing is this: By working out regularly and rejecting guilt and shame around food, I've come to change some of my habits on my own. I've learned what gives me energy and what makes me feel sluggish. I like 9Round because they make it clear that fitness isn't about being perfect; it's about being better. I like 9rounds as your workout begins when you get there (no waiting for a specific class time) and every round is 3 minutes long. If there is someone on round 1 when you get there you can start on a... nother round where no one is. I sometimes start on round 9 or 10. You get a full body workout in 30 minutes unless you're like me and like to do round 10 too. The trainers are great and everyone is very friendly. Even the shy quite ones are comfortable there. If you've had a bad day, your guaranteed to go there to punch out your frustrations as well as everyone there makes you Smile. Thanks 9rounds for pushing me! See you tonight!
