I was very active in High School with basketba...ll and other sports, but sort of let everything slip through my fingers. I gained weight and was lazy. My wife has always been in the fitness world. I'm Courtney Ellis, I’ve been a kickboxing instructor since 2013. My passion for kickboxing started when I was living in Las Vegas NV and brought me t...o Odessa in 2014. I have always loved fitness. I have been a gymnast since I was 7. I have training in several different martial arts including Kung Fu, BJJ, Women’s self defense, and Muay Thai. I’ve been a personal trainer in Odessa Tx since 2014. I have a specialty certification in Children’s health and wellness. Joining the 9Round family has just added to my passion. I have never lost my passion for Kickboxing and when 9Rounds (one of the top kickboxing establishments in the country) was hiring, I had to seize the moment. The name Phoenix comes from my belief that every day is a new start. Every day we wake up we are given the opportunity to make something great of it! I am loving being a part of the 9Round team and sharing the love and passion I have for this sport with others who are looking to empower themselves. More

So many things! I love that it’s fast and furious - I don’t waste time and can fit it in even on a busy day.
