9Round is a specialized fitness center for people who want an unique, fun, and proven workout that guarantees results. 9Round offers a kickboxing themed fitness program that incorporates a functional, interval, cardiovascular, and circuit training regimens. The programs consist of a proprietary system of 9 challenging workout stations developed by a professional fighter.

Scott "Showtime" JamesScott "Showtime" James-( Owner/Trainer) is a graduate of the College of Charleston and relocated to the Charleston area back in 2001. Showtime was a student of Krav Maga and an avid fight sports fan in general. He and his wife, Laura , made fitness a daily part of their lives 20 years ago. In December of 2014 Scott stumbled upon 9Round. "I was blown away by the concept, it check all boxes for someone wanting a great workout." 2 months later they owned the Mount Pleasant and West Ashley locations haven't looked back since! Scott and his team at 9Round are there to push members to do things that they didn't think they could "Seeing changes and results is awesome and very fulfilling. "Can't" is not a word allowed in these gyms!"
Laura "Lights Out " James"Lights Out " Laura James (Owner/Trainer) has been dedicated to fitness since the birth of her second child 15 years ago. Laura is NETA Certified and has been a personal trainer for many years. She is big on core and functional full body training. "That is what attracted my husband and I to 9Round. It is a full body workout that is actually fun....and having fun is the key for people to incorporate fitness into their lives and stay consistent!" Believing in what she coaches, Laura enjoys her own workouts at 9round and in her free time enjoys paddle boarding, biking, time at the beach, and cheering on her 2 teenage children in their sports.
Emily "Brick" HouseEmily "The Brick" House is from Athens, GA and a graduate from The University of Georgia with a Bachelors in Dietetics. She is very passionate about living a "clean" and healthy lifestyle and helping others achieve their fitness and nutrition goals. She started in the fitness world as a Jillian Michael BODYSHRED instructor. She has always been passionate about kickboxing which is what led her to the 9 Round family! She is tough as a "brick" house and ready to kick your booty into shape!
Kelly "K.O." ThompsonKelly "KO" Thompson ( Head Trainer) is originally from a tropical island located in northern Vermont. She graduated from Keene State in NH with a degree in Health Promotion and Fitness. Kelly decided one month of summer was not enough so she relocated down south to Charleston in 2012 after she graduated. Kelly is an AFPA certified trainer and is ready to train YOU! She makes the workouts fun, lively, and as hard as you want them to be. "That is what makes 9Round so cool. It is great for professional athletes to your everyday person looking to get into shape because you can go at your own pace. I am there to help each member reach their own goals." Cassie "Kryptonite" Simmons" Kryptonite" Cassie fell in love with the fast paced, always changing workouts 9 Round had to offer and quickly jumped at the opportunity to become a trainer. She uses her competitive nature from playing collegiate soccer to push and motivate people to reach their fitness goals. But don't let her sweet personality fool you- once that bell goes off even Superman doesn't want any part of Kryptonite!
