  • I love that you can go whenever...there is no class time....which makes it super easy to find the time to exercise. I love that it is only 30 minutes long and there is always a trainer on hand to motivate you and correct you.

  • What brought me in originally was that a new round begins every 3 minutes so you can go for a class at any time, which works well when you are a working mom. The workouts are very effective and the workouts are different every single day. On top of all of that, the trainers are all great. It does not matter whether you are a beginner or advanced, or what shape you are in; these workouts are for everyone!

    Shaun "The Bohemian Shamrock" Berner
    Shaun, along with his wife, Tina, is the owner of 9Round in East Haven, North Branford, Old Saybrook, and Wallingford CT. He is a Muay Thai kickboxing black belt, is skilled in Combat Sambo and is a 9Round Certified Trainer. Shaun fell in love with the 9Round concept about 5 minutes into his first workout at the corporate gym and has never looked back! He loves designing new, challenging workouts to ensure that members get a great workout each and every time.

    Tina "Tough Love" Valaouras
    Tina, with her husband, Shaun, is the owner of 9Round in East Haven, North Branford Old Saybrook and Wallingford, CT. She is a Muay Thai kickboxer, 9Round Certified Trainer and NASM Certified Personal Trainer. Tina’s love of fitness goes back many years, and she is ecstatic about being able to help all her members reach their fitness goals. Above all, Tina puts her family first, and this attitude flows over to the gym where it truly feels like you are part of a wonderful 9Round family.

    Lea is currently studying nutrition at Southern Connecticut State University. She has always had a passion for fitness which brought her into 9Round. Lea became a 9Round Certified Trainer in the summer of 2015 and loves pushing our members every workout. She workouts five times a week at 9Round and is still her peppy self!

    Kelianna "Little H" Bonn
    Kelianna is studying to become a School Counselor, receiving her Master's Degree in May 2018. Kelianna became a member while in her undergrad at Merrimack College. She felt 9Round was a great workout and stress reliever. She wanted to share her love of 9Round and creating a healthy lifestyle, so she became a certified trainer in the Summer of 2016.     Micheal Page is a NASM and 9Round certified trainer who has worked in the personal training and sports training field for the last 7 years. He loves pushing people and gets great joy out of seeing those clients reach their goals whether it be losing 3 lbs. or 30 lbs. Whether it is an everyday client looking to get back into shape or an elite athlete looking to shave some time off their personal best. He greatly enjoys what he does and shows it every day with his enthusiasm.
