  • Its never boring because they change up the routines. I like that its 30 minutes so I can get on with my day. The best part are the trainers. They will modify your work out if you have a minor injury and also critique form. Very key to preventing more injury. I am not over looked because I'm no major athlete either! They meet me where I am and stay encouraging.

  • The trainers! Patient....never an eye roll when I was obviously uncoordinated, always welcoming, motivational. Keeba was just the right combination of fresh energy that I needed. She was not unrealistically over the top with her energy... she was just right! What I especially liked about Keeba was her ability to explain (clearly) the membership signing up process, and I especially appreciated HOW SHE WOULD TAKE THE TIME TO LISTEN! That is a rare gift in this distracted/ADHD world. Thank you Keeba! The other trainers were great as well!

  • Keba <span class="nick-name">"The Konqueror"</span> Arnold
    Keba "The Konqueror" Arnold
    Keba “The Konqueror” Arnold has been athletic and a sports fan since she was a little girl. She played basketball and ran track in middle school and high school. As a graduate of the University of Georgia, she loves college football too! Keba became interested in kickboxing after taking Body Combat classes in Downtown Sacramento. When she moved to the East Bay in the Summer of 2015, that’s when she found 9Round in Walnut Creek and fell in love! The rest is history. CPR/AED certified, Keba believes in 9Round so much, she decided to leave her career to open up 9Round Natomas! She can’t wait to help you reach your fitness goals, one round at a time!
  • Hong <span class="nick-name">"Horsey Porsey"</span> Kang
    Hong "Horsey Porsey" Kang
    Hong "Horsey Porsey" Kang, began training in taekwondo and karate at the age of 7 and has competed in various tournaments since the age of 14. Currently a student at Sacramento State, Hong still enjoys practicing and improving his martial arts skills. When it comes to kicking, he is very technical and often finds himself breaking down the steps in order to launch the kick perfectly. Hong is very passionate about encouraging others and helping people push past their limits to set new goals for themselves.

    Emily "Mity Mouse" Zarzeka
    Emily "MityMouse" Zarzeka has been athletic since she was four years old. She played soccer and golf in high school and was a competitive cheerleader for 10 years. Over the summer she moved away to Arizona where she discovered her love for kickboxing. After making a career change, she moved back to the Sacramento area and is currently an ACE certified fitness instructor, physical therapy aide, and attends the Institute for Integrative Nutrition. Emily has a passion for helping others and a love for health and fitness!
  • Joaquin <span class="nick-name">"Kid Quin"</span> Magpantay
    Joaquin "Kid Quin" Magpantay
    Joaquin "Kid Quin" Magpantay grew up running track (Events: 200 meter, long jump, and triple jump) in Calabasas. Currently, he is studying Dietetics in Sacramento and has worked as an Assistant Personal Trainer/ Assistant Nutritionist in San Francisco. He fell in love with many aspects of training, specifically, Olympic Weightlifting. As he continues to learn more about the training experience, Joaquin's goal is to teach people about the importance of health and wellness. In his spare time, Joaquin enjoys spending time with his family and friends, training, and hanging out with his Schnauzer, Pepper.
  • Hazel <span class="nick-name">"Libraheart"</span> Sanchez
    Hazel "Libraheart" Sanchez
    Hazel “Libraheart” Sanchez grew up in the Philippines, where just being outside was like being at a playground. In high school, she played softball. After graduating from college with an Associate Degree, Hazel worked as a HR/Recruiter in San Jose. She made a career change when she moved to Sacramento and became a Medical Assistant. Her life took a turn when she decided to become a full-time mom for 10 years. During those years, Hazel gained weight and developed anxiety. She tried many weight loss programs and exercises, but ended up mostly running. With very active and sporty kids, she decided it was her turn to find a true fitness routine. She became a member at 9Round Natomas and quickly fell in love. She appreciated the guidance and motivation throughout the workout. Even while dealing with injuries, Hazel still kept busy and stayed fit. Then one day, she decided she wanted to help others as a trainer at 9Round Natomas. She’s also a certified Personal Trainer and is CPR/AED certified. Hazel is motivated to help you reach your goals because she believes the harder you work for something, the greater you’ll feel when you achieve it. You may hear Hazel tell you to have fun too, because she also believes that fitness should be fun!
  • Nicolas <span class="nick-name">"Mink"</span> Gwyn
    Nicolas "Mink" Gwyn
    Nicolas “Mink” Gwyn doesn’t play fitness, he lives it. Since he can remember, Nicolas has always been involved in sports including basketball, baseball, track and field, boxing and weightlifting. He believes challenging yourself is necessary for progression. In 2017, Nicolas would have to face the biggest challenge he’d ever come up against. After the birth of his daughter, he found himself out of shape and out of energy. This prompted Nicolas to go to war against his own mind as he battled back, losing more than 60 pounds in a couple of months. He learned from every bump along his fitness journey. Whether it’s losing 50 pounds or gaining 60, Nicolas will help you reach your goals with a combination of passion, knowledge and experience.
  • Elisa <span class="nick-name">"Slade"</span> Banuelos
    Elisa "Slade" Banuelos
    Elisa “Slade” Banuelos has always been very active. She played soccer for 3 years and attended a sports camp during several summers, and eventually became a junior counselor. When 9Round Natomas opened in October 2016, Elisa joined becoming a Founding Member. It was during that time she found a new love for kickboxing and physical fitness. After being a member for 18 months, she decided to apply to join the 9Round Natomas Trainer Team. Ever since, Elisa has developed a deeper passion for helping others reach their fitness goals!
  • Jesse <span class="nick-name">"Bull"</span> Ortiz
    Jesse "Bull" Ortiz
    Jesse “Bull” Ortiz grew up playing soccer, baseball and ultimately found a love for football. He played football during all 4 years of high school. After high school, he remained active, working out 4-5 days per week. Along with being athletic, Jesse enjoys outdoor activities such as, hiking and camping. Currently, Jesse is a semi-pro football player for the Elk Grove Kingz. He is also studying to become a certified personal trainer through NASM. It was Jesse’s father-in-law who sparked his interest in boxing. While learning various boxing combinations, Jesse soon learned, cross-training in boxing helped him on the football field. Jesse is passionate about helping people and pushing them past their perceived limits. He enjoys seeing members smile, knowing they’re getting stronger. Jesse truly believes it’s the small things that can make the biggest difference in a workout, to make it more effective. He is proud to be a part of a fitness team who is changing lives!
  • Ezra <span class="nick-name">"Sasquatch"</span> Rodriguez
    Ezra "Sasquatch" Rodriguez
    Ezra "Sasquatch" Rodriguez has trained in multiple martial arts throughout his life. He earned a first degree black belt in Taekwondo, along with a silver and bronze medal from tournaments and state championships. Win or lose, even if it's by a spectacular knockout, submission or decision, he always keeps a humble heart. Fighting is in his blood and it's his passion. Ezra trains in MMA to learn every aspect of fighting, which includes wrestling, Jiu Jitsu, and Muay Thai. Ezra is focused on being a great all-around fighter and not just one-dimensional. His goal is to pursue an MMA career and fight in the UFC. As a trainer, he's very intense because he understands the importance of pushing hard physically and developing a mental toughness. He won't accept "I can't" or "I'm tired", but he'll be right there with you, helping you reach your fitness goals!
  • Alexzander <span class="nick-name">"Twitch"</span> Dean-Montenegro
    Alexzander "Twitch" Dean-Montenegro
    Alexzander Dean-Montenegro, "Twitch", has been training in MMA, boxing, Muay Thai, and grappling for nearly 7 years. He has competed in various tournaments and matches, with great success. Alexzander is a two-time Mong Kong Champion who fought in Thailand on a broadcasted network fight. He also has an undefeated record in his boxing and Muay Thai career and he's a silver medalist for Capital Submission Grappling No-Gi. Alexzander is dedicated to doing what he loves, has great team work skills, and has a determined mind when it comes to a challenge. Alexzander not only believes in having a healthy body, but also a fit mind in order to conquer the day. He would love to help you achieve your goals by sharing with you his amazing skills and technique, while also giving you the strong encouragement or push you might need with a friendly face!
