Max “Bonesaw” Gardner is our Head Trainer. He is a born-and-raised San Diego Native who recently returned from Tucson where he graduated from the U o...f A. Prior to falling in love with boxing, Max was a former CIF champion in basketball as well as State semi finalist two years in a row. He has trained at the competitive amateur level (boxing) for several years and has spent many hours sparring inside the ring, but his real passion is helping people discover boxing as a tool for fitness and a better life! The class times...because there are no class times, just gym hours!!! I run my own business so it’s dificult to be at a class once I get off of work because things pop up and I have to deal with them ... regardless of what time of day it is. The schedule flexibility has been a major factor for me in signing up for 9Round. Trainer are also awesome. They push me more than I would by myself at the gym or in a large workout class. Trainers also give you guidance on how to adjust yourself so you don’t hurt yourself. The workouts themselves are pretty awesome. I love that I kick and punch bags. Last, because I love my workouts (except during my workout when they literally kick my ass), I come to the gym more consistently. Because I am working out regularly, I am so much happier (endorphins, yay!!!) and feel better about myself. More confidence to face my days. What a great way to start the day! It was a very fun workout with trainer Shelby! She was friendly and very attentive to all the members, and she was quick to demonstrate how to correctly train at eac... h station and answer any questions.
