  • It's quick, but it's intense! There are no pre-set class times, but there's always a trainer available for guidance or questions. I typically burn about 600-700 calories in 40-45 minutes (including a cool-down)!

  • Everyone is nice - trainers and people who are working out. The trainers work with you, making sure you're getting in a good workout. The exercises are different every day, so you don't get suck in the same routine. I LOVE hand pads! Working one on one with a trainer gets your heart rate up to the next level while they continue to motivate you.

  • Love the environment. Love the trainers. The music is good. But every time it's a great workout and I feel fantastic when I leave. I like that it's only 30 minutes long, but it seems longer due to the results and how I feel afterward. The people there are friendly- both the trainers, owner, and members. WERK IT!

  • 9Round trainer
    Winston "Bell Ringer" Bell
    MANAGER - Winston brings his quiet yet commanding training style to Brooklyn Park, and the members love it! He enjoys how responsive the members are to him - pushing them to their limits. Winston lives in Oakdale with his three children ages 11, 5 and 4. He graduated from Cretin-Derham Hall High School and then moved on to earn his B.A. in Kinesiology and Communications at Ouachita Baptist University in Arkadelphia, Arkansas where he was also an All Gulf South Conference football player. His professional goals are to be reinstated as an ACE Certified Personal Trainer and to start his own Summer workout program for underprivileged Grade and High School youth.

    Sommer "Sommer Lovin'" Walters
    HEAD TRAINER - Sommer became a 9Round member in the Winter of 2016. Six months later she was approached by management offering her a job as a trainer, which she gladly accepted! Sommer loved how the workouts always kept her challenged and motivated; inspiring her each time to bring her best and work hard. She liked the community support - how the members cheered each other on to reach their fitness goals, and how new members were immediately part of the 9Round family. Sommer lives in Robbinsdale and graduated from Champlin Park High School in 2011. She went on to earn her B.A. in Dance, with a minor in Cultural Studies from the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities. Her professional goal is to work at a job that is fulfilling and brings her joy. She is an aspiring actress who would someday like to be on Broadway, but doing commercial dancing or being cast in an LA film would work, too. ;)

    Troy "Trouble" Jones
    TRAINER - Troy currently lives in Brooklyn Center with his wife of two years. He graduated from Park Center High School then attended Minnesota State, Mankato where he earned his B.A. in Behavioral Science with an emphasis on Law Enforcement. He played college football where he was a three time All Conference Safety, two time All American Safety, and in 2009 won the Junior College National Championship. Troy is a certified Work Place Violence instructor and Thai Boxing Association Judge. He is a professional kickboxer and Muay Thai fighter with an overall record of 46-4. He has an International Muay Thai Federation of Amateurs (IFMA) Gold Medal, IFMA Pan American Gold Medal, World Muay Thai Organization (WMO) World Pro-Am title, and is a ten time North American and National Champion. His personal and professional goals are the same: to continue to grow as a human being and reach the highest level in kickboxing and Muay Thai - becoming a World Champion. What he likes most about being a 9Round trainer is seeing new members gradually improve their kickboxing skills and technique along with helping them achieve their fitness goals.

    Robert "Mighty Martian" Dawson
    TRAINER - Robert has been a trainer since 2012, graduating from St. Paul College with an AAS in personal training. Robert is an experienced martial arts instructor who teaches boxing and Muay Thai kickboxing as well as mixed martial arts. He is also a boxing and kickboxing competitor at the professional level. Robert has a passion and appreciation for the martial arts that runs deep, and he can work those punch mitts like nobody's business!
