9Round is a specialized fitness center for people who want an unique, fun, and proven workout that guarantees results. 9Round offers a kickboxing themed fitness program that incorporates a functional, interval, cardiovascular, and circuit training regimens. The programs consist of a proprietary system of 9 challenging workout stations developed by a professional fighter.

My husband, four kids, and I have been members of 9R for years. It is the ONLY place in Charlotte where we can get in and get out in 30 minutes, totally dripping with sweat, and feel like we've worked hard!! We can workout on demand, which is huge with our busy schedule. All four of our children play competitive sports and 9R is a great complement to their strength training regimen. The energy at 9R is awesome and the staff is even better, pushing you to be the best! Suzi and Mark are truly wonderful people. Couldn't ask for a better training facility! We LOVE 9R Charlotte!!!!
Lifting weights has always been my main form of exercise and a real passion in my life. But as a lifter, you want always want to bulk, but stay lean, you got to do cardio. Well, I hate running and newer research is showing that High Intensity Interval Training (HIIT) is much more effective at losing fat and maintaining muscle than traditional long distance cardio. So I joined 9Round and have never looked back! I have actually gotten significantly stronger in my lifting, as well as much more defined because of the 9Round training, and I find I can push myself a lot further when lifting now because I am so used to pushing myself at 9Round beyond where I think I can go. 9Round is definitely the best program out there for everyone to people just looking to get in shape to experienced lifters who are looking to take things to the next level. Plus, you get to punch stuff! Mark, Suzi, and the crew are all amazing! Literally stop what you are doing right now and go to this gym. Right now.
Fitness has never been as fun, motivating, and manageable as 9Round has been for me. I get in, get my butt kicked, and get out according to my schedule. I don't have to worry about missing a specific class or day which is incentive enough for me but the staff at 9round Ballantyne make it truly motivating. They are all AMAZING. I feel supported and challenged to improve my endurance, form, strength or whatever they throw my way.

Mark and Suzi BalkOwners / Operators Mark and Suzi brought 9Round Kickboxing to the extremely health conscious, fitness minded city of Charlotte in 2011. They chose Charlotte because they believe that "Charlotte is the perfect home for 9Round as we continue to grow and share this cutting edge way of getting fit." The owner/operator couple are a "Dynamic Duo" with a passion for fitness and can regularly be found in the gym helping you achieve your fitness goals. Watch out, because both Mark and Suzi are 2nd Degree Black Belts in Japanese Shotokan Karate!
Dan "The Man"" MillerDan joined our Ballantyne location in November of 2014. He has an impressive fitness resume including education in Exercise Physiology, training college football athletes, running bootcamps, etc. He is a member favorite in the gym- (well, he does hold hand pads for everyone!) With Energy and Enthusiasm- he is an asset to our team.
