What is 9Round?

9Round is a specialized fitness center for people who want an unique, fun, and proven workout that guarantees results. 9Round offers a kickboxing themed fitness program that incorporates a functional, interval, cardiovascular, and circuit training regimens. The programs consist of a proprietary system of nine challenging workout stations developed by a World Champion Kickboxer.


9Round works because it includes everything you need: a full-body workout that’s fast, effective and fun… personal trainers to help you… and expert nutritional guidance. And it’s all based on the latest exercise and nutritional science.

We are opened our doors April 20,2013 and we were awarded the #2 9Round Kickboxing gym in 2014 and #7 in 2015.  Come see for yourself why we are one of the best and why 9Round is the best fitness concept around.  When you join our gym we expect results so be ready to have a trainer that is in your corner!

Strength: Stations 1-2

You'll use dumb bells, kettle bells, medicine balls, jump ropes and other equipment to build strength and stamina. Our trainers help you at every station.

Kickbox Fitness: Stations 3-8

The real fun begins as you punch and kick heavy bags to build power, double end bags to increase coordination and timing, and speed bags to develop shoulder conditioning and speed.

Abs & Core: Station 9

You’ll tighten and strengthen all the muscles in one of the most common trouble spots, your core, which improves your ability to perform any movement you do for work, exercise, or leisure.

Here’s what you can expect:

  • Show up at your convenience; there are no class times
  • You’re welcomed by a friendly, qualified trainer
  • Trainer wraps your hands for support when punching
  • Use heart rate training to stay in your target fat burning zone
  • Trainer shows you how to do each exercise based on your fitness level
  • Every three minutes, you move to the next exercise station

In real time, the 9ROUND PULSE in-club display shows your effort level, heart rate, calories burned, and PULSE Points earned during your workout. Color-coded heart rate zones make it easy to see your effort level at a glance.

How It Works

  • You wear your 9ROUND PULSE belt during your workout.
  • As you work out, the device tracks how hard you’re working and displays your effort rating, your heart rate and calories burned on a monitor inside the 9Round club.
  • You can easily see if you’re in your optimal fat burning zone and adjust your effort up or down as needed.
  • View your results and progress any time from the app or your online account. Your results are also emailed to you after each workout.

    Leah played collegiate volleyball for UNCC for the last 4 years. She is currently in grad school at USC, majoring in social work, serves as a coach at CUCV and still manages to workout AND work at 9Round-University.     Sarah "Texas Tornado" Horrell
    Sarah loves all kinds of sports from dance to football and has an undying love for kickboxing & UFC. She is super passionate about kickboxing....if you want proof, just watch the intensity on her face as she demos your round or your active break :) She can empathize with anyone who struggles with weight. At one time, she weighed 235 lbs. and through working out lost a total of 85 lbs. That's right, she went from a size 22 to a size 7. She wants to encourage, motivate and lead others to believing that they can do it too! Her favorite round is 4 when she velcros her boxing gloves! She is our manager and a great trainer!! She was awarded our trainer of the year in 2016.

    Alyssa "Beast" Goldner
    Alyssa has been at 9Round for three years as a member and is new to training but this girl knows how to push the advanced and how to work along side the beginner to reach their goals!. Her time as a student athletic trainer at school for the girls soccer team has developed her skills as a trainer as well. She serves at her church with the special needs kids and has plans to become a physical therapist for either special needs children or veterans. She loves 9Round and credits 9Round for finding her passion for fitness and helping others. Oh...and BTW this girl does 9Round with a weighted vest on...she is known as The Beast!!

    Alex is a Graduated from UNCC with BA in health communication and health studies, with Ten years experience in heath and fitness field. His full time job is assistant operating manager for BMG but loves to trainer at 9Round when needed. His Favorite sport is NFL and college football. In his free time he enjoy spending time with his 8 year daughter, doing outdoor activities like hiking, swimming, and riding bikes on the greenway.

  • 9Round is awsome! You get a full body workout, amazing training, with lots of personalized attention from wonderful staff while having a blast! And Its all done in 30 min! You couldn't ask for more! If you want to transform your body, this is the place to be!

  • In my opinion, this is the best 30 minute workout in town. You have at least one trainer keeping you going through the whole workout so you don't get to "float" through....you owe it to yourself to give it a try. It's is better than Lay's chips...no one can stop with just one...you'll be hooked! I came in after not working out in a year...made it through the first workout and haven't stopped since...the trainers help you through at pace that is challenging but definitely doable...what are you waiting for?

  • This workout is AMAZING! For only 30 minutes time - it kicks my BUTT!!! I am sore for a couple of days after, however, that just means that it is working. You get out of it what you put into it and let me tell ya'...this is set up to help me succeed in my fitness goals. Wendy and Maria ROCK! Come join us~
