How It Works
- You wear your 9ROUND PULSE™ belt during your workout.
- As you work out, the device tracks how hard you’re working and displays your effort rating, your heart rate and calories burned on a monitor inside the 9Round club.
- You can easily see if you’re in your optimal fat burning zone and adjust your effort up or down as needed.
- View your results and progress any time from the app or your online account. Your results are also emailed to you after each workout.

I first tried 9Round because my sister was already a member and she loved it. I walked into the Pantops location thinking to myself - I am not going to like this ... 3 minutes per round? No way! Well, not only did I complete the entire circuit, I really enjoyed it and joined! I've been doing 9Round for about 5 months at the other location and was super excited to hear they were opening a Pantops location. Love the new location! There's a ton of room and it's super convenient. When I first started with 9 Round, I couldn't do a single full sit-up. I crushed that today with med ball sit-ups! Thanks to all the trainers! I can't say enough good things about all of them. They are great about giving pointers and really pushing you when you need it! I always look forward to working out! :-)

Sherie "Bomb"Sherie has a lifelong passion for fitness. As a mother of two and business owner she understands the challenges in finding time for exercise. She is ready to motivate you to achieve more than you expect of yourself. The most rewarding part of owning 9Round is seeing the fitness and confidence improvements of her members. Sherie is an Army veteran and has completed a 1/2 Ironman triathlon and two marathons. She is also an ACE Certified Personal Trainer.
Ross "The Boss"Ross "The Boss" is the co-owner of 9Round Charlottesville. As a retired Army Officer with multiple combat tours he understands the importance of physical fitness. 9Round helps him fuel his devotion to service by helping others in the community reach and surpass their fitness goals. When he is not bringing his own flavor of military style physical fitness to 9Round he enjoys spending time with his two school-aged children, sports, being outdoors fishing, hunting, hiking, and camping. By the grace of God, Ross is excited about building the 9Round family in Charlottesville and getting you fit 9 rounds at a time!
Rachel "Renny"Rachel has been a trainer since 9Round started in Cville. She is excited to help you get fit, 9Rounds at a time!
Heidi "Coach"Heidi "Coach" is a former All-American basketball player at Elizabethtown College where she holds several individual and season records, scoring over 1,500 points during her career. Heidi was recognized for her athletic accomplishments and was inducted into the Blue Jay Hall of Fame in 2010. Following a stellar college basketball career, she pursued her passion for coaching as an assistant coach at Elizabethtown College and Susquehanna University in Pennsylvania, and then as a head coach at both St. Mary’s of the Woods in Indiana and Alfred University in New York. She is excited to bring her knowledge, motivational style, passion, and coaching experience to 9Round!
Kellie "Grit"Kellie “Grit” is a native of Charlottesville and is excited about being a 9Round trainer. After earning her BS in Biology from Salisbury University, Maryland she worked on and led conservation expeditions around the globe. She returned to Charlottesville and upon becoming a 9Round member, she was quickly hooked, loving the atmosphere, the family and the unbelievable workouts, so she applied to be a trainer and is very happy to be a part of this amazing team! Kellie has a passion for travel, photography, and the ocean. The opportunity to have fun, train and witness, first hand, the transformation members of the 9Round family can have, both mentally and physically, is what brings her joy in the gym. She wants to share that joy with members to help them achieve their goals, feel empowered and find a strength they might not have known they had within them. She looks forward to seeing you in the gym!
Annie "A-Train"Annie was a former standout field hockey goalkeeper for Penn State University. She then joined the Division I coaching ranks, coaching at Bucknell University, Penn State University, and the University of Virginia for the past 12 years. Annie is currently the Co-Director of Panthers United Field Hockey Club and the US U19 National Team Assistant Coach. Annie brings her enthusiastic personality and her love of coaching to 9 Round to push you to be your best!
