  • I love it that I can go in anytime I want, that I don’t have to rush to make it at a certain time for the class to start. That flexibility is a big plus for me and fits my lifestyle.

  • I like the community feel and encouragement I’ve gotten at 9Round! I also like how it doesn’t matter what fitness level you’re at, it’s a judgement free zone and everyone is just there to be better!

  • I like that there's no class times. I also like that the trainers get to know you on a personal level. The trainers also know to push you just enough without being tyrannical but also not being too lax.

  • The efficient and intense workout. I love going to different stations because it prevents me from being bored, plus having others workout around me encourages me to do better. Also the trainers are very knowledgeable and I enjoy building rapport with them as they coach me.

  • There are many positive advantage’s to 9Round. You can come in and workout anytime. There are no set classes and you can go at your own pace. There is one on one training, which is included. It’s a Great workout in 30 minutes. You can also repeat the workout or come back as many times in a day. It’s an all around workout using every muscle.

  • I was never a person to work out. This place has changed my lifestyle. I enjoy going since everyday is something different. The trainers are the best. They really take the time to explain how to do the workout correctly. They also ask about rating habits and have suggestions on different things to eat and drink. They help achieve the goals you have.

  • There are so many things I like about 9Round, but the trainers are my favorite part. They encourage you no matter your fitness level and they truly want you to do well. Having someone cheering you on at EVERY workout is what makes 9Round unique.

  • I can go at my schedule, not restricted to a class start time. I also like the personal touch of trainers knowing me and working with me personally.

About the team

  • Alivia Johnson
    Alivia Johnson
Hey y’all, I am Alivia! I was born and raised in the Pacific Northwest and I have been playing sports since I was 5 years old. I was a two-sport collegiate. My love for kickboxing started about 4 years ago, it filled the void I had since graduating for competition and personal growth. I am very passionate about 9Round and how it can push everyone to become a better version of themselves, whether you are first time kickboxer or an advance fighter. Being able to help others reach their fitness goals in ways they never thought possible is what makes this job so amazing!
  • Olivia Tsui
    Olivia Tsui
My name is Olivia and I trained at multiple Muay Thai gyms in Asia starting in Hong Kong. Then trained months at a time in Thailand at the world-famous Tiger Muay Thai gym in Phuket where many UFC fighters and Bellator fighters train at. After that I jumped from gym to gym following my main Thai trainer Prathet from Bangkok to Chiang Mai. Trained as a fighter, fought once and won by TKO. Bucket list checked. Now I just train for fun and fitness and makes me happy to see that I can change people’s lives through health and fitness while letting them know that they can have fun doing it too!
  • Tony Flores
    Tony Flores
My name is Tony Flores I grew up playing basketball, football and soccer. I played competitively both nationally and internationally. My love for fitness only grew in college as I began training to compete in bodybuilding competitions. After college, I discovered boxing, kickboxing, and jiu-jitsu as new challenges and very quickly excelled through each martial art. I also work as a speech therapist specializing in children with autism.

With fitness, health, and martial arts among my strongest passions, I knew from the very moment I walked into 9Round that becoming a trainer here would be a natural fit for me. The echo of bags being hit, bells sounding off, and the passionate voices of our clients and fellow trainers never make me feel like I’m working. It makes me feel like I’m making a difference. I’ve trained in a variety of martial arts and love focusing on technique, so if you wish to sharpen your skills, or learn about the benefits of a plant-based diet, it’s my honor and joy to teach. I hope to see you around at 9Round.

I was raised as an athlete and grew up loving sports and fitness. As an adult I pursued dance, martial arts, and personal training. I believe health isn't about what you weigh in on the scale, but instead what you believe about yourself. I am an advocate for training my clients to have a positive attitude about themselves and about life, everything else will fall into place including a great physique!
  • Tony Le
    Tony Le
Hi, my name is Tony Le and I am a personal trainer at 9 round Costa Mesa. My goal in life is to help others in life with their fitness goals and promote an outlet to release stress in a positive way through boxing and jiu-jitsu. One of my favorite quotes by Benjamin Franklin is, “Tell me and I forget. Teach me and I remember. Involve me and I will learn.” Staying involved in jiu-jitsu definitely impacted my life on how to be more aware of my surroundings and the discipline to learn from others. Also, I learned to be comfortable with being uncomfortable which helped me get through difficult obstacles in my life like school and improved my overall health. I recently graduated from Golden West College and California State University Fullerton to earn a bachelor’s degree in Communications. Despite anything that goes on in life I always believe the best way to get rid of stress or ego is through hard work and physical exercises.
