  • There are many things that I like "best" about 9Round! I've belonged to many other gyms over the years, and this one is SO different! I am not a person who greatly enjoys going into a regular gym and doing a cardio machine then using weights for an hour. I far prefer a class environment, but then you're beholden to the scheduled class times, which don't always work for me. 9Round blows those options out of the water. The workout starts when I get there, on MY schedule. The awesome trainers are there throughout your entire workout to motivate you, demonstrate, and ensure your form is right. The combination of cardio and weight/strength training gets it all done in 30 minutes. One year ago I was in a wheelchair after an extensive surgery, and after six weeks at 9Round I've lost weight, my strength and endurance have improved, and I'm sleeping great at night. I'm so glad I've joined, and I'm looking forward to lots more health improvement on this journey.

  • It feels very personal. I've only been going a few weeks, but the trainers greet me by name. I enjoy being pushed to do a little more every time I'm there. It's never boring! There is so much attention to detail. I may be sore but I'm never hurt. The trainers go above and beyond to make sure technique and form are correct so you aren't injured but still get the best workout possible. I feel better than I have in a long time.

  • 9Round trainer
    Craig " TNT" Thompson
    Craig is the co-owner of R5 Fitness Systems and 9Round Fayetteville, NC. He retired from the military after 20 years of service, with half his career in Special Operations. Since his retirement in 2007, Craig has served as a Senior Operational Advisor at the Asymmetric Warfare Group and as an Operations Integrator at the Joint IED Defeat Organization. Craig is well versed in leading, coaching, teaching and mentoring individuals and multi-disciplined teams. Craig has studied Boxing, Muay-Thai and is a Senior Blue Belt in Gracie Jiu-Jitsu. Craig believes defining long-term goals and functions to the client and providing an advisory link to nutritional assistance, will deliver desired results.

    Gina "G-shock the Rock" Gerard
    Gina is the co-owner/operator of 9 Round Fayetteville and R5 Fitness Systems. She is a Certified Personal Trainer, Fitness Coach, Physique and Fitness Training Specialist, and Sports Nutrionist. She holds several certifications including; International Sports Sciences Association (ISSA), International Fitness Association (IFA), National Exercise and Sports Training Association (NESTA), and National Dance/Exercise Instructors Training Association (NDEITA). She is CPR, First Aid Certified as well. Gina studied Muay Thai in Thailand and trained with a boxing coach in West Palm Beach, FL. She has owned a dance/fitness center for many years and taught cardio kickboxing, spin and various functional fitness classes. Gina is passionate about fitness and dedicated to improving the lives of others by motivating members to achieve their goals.

    Keenan "The Real McCoy" McCoy
    Keenan is a 9Round certified trainer. He is experienced in Tae Kwon Do and earned his Black Belt after 6 years of training. He was a Junior Instructor at Rising Sun Tae Kwon Do in El Paso, Texas. He has won many awards including 3 silver medals in the Junior Olympics. Keenan is a seasoned athlete. He currently plays competitive soccer. Keenan believes in self-discipline, leadership, and constant improvement. He keeps our members engaged with his high energy and creative active break exercises.

    Paris "Ares" Artis
    Paris is a 9Round certified trainer. Originally from Kentucky, he wrestled in High School and placed 6th in the state tournament. He has trained Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) for the past 7 years. Paris earned his "Pro" status and is undefeated with a 7-0 record! He is also a blue belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu.

    Gradtus "Fist of Fury" Sutton
    Gradtus is a 9Round certified trainer. For the past 10 years he has been a certified fitness and nutrition specialist. He is from Fayetteville, NC. Gradtus is experienced in multiple sports such as football, basketball, bodybuilding and Muay Thai. He believes any goal can be reached with proper planning, consistency, and opportunity. His favorite thing about 9Round is the diversity of its trainers; it's training and its members.

    Jencie "The Jewel" Landry
    Jencie is a 9round certified trainer. She grew up in Fayetteville, NC playing several sports including softball and volleyball. Jen struggled with being overweight most of her life. As an adult she became interested in fitness and nutrition which resulted in a weight loss of 55lbs. Jen has experience in different fitness activities including weightlifting, yoga, and kickboxing. She loves being a 9round trainer. She keeps our members motivated and accountable!
