I originally returned to 9 Rounds with the intent of staying for a month or two as a change of pace from my regular workout routine. It's been six months and I have no plans on stopping anytime soon. I love the workouts and I really look forward to Quan pushing me harder every day (he's good at that) and the pad work that we do is one of my favorite aspects of the workouts. I've also worked out with Jordon a bit more recently and I always appreciate his tips on form and the motivation. Always a great workout.
What an amazing experience! Jordon and his staff are so hands on and fun to work out with! They took the time to learn each client's name and help push them through each circuit! I thoroughly enjoy my time at 9R - most intense but worthwhile 30 mins ever!!! A great workout for anyone to try!!! Definitely worth it and a lot of fun!
As an avid exerciser, these are the most intense workouts I've ever had. Jordon creates daily workouts that are challenging both physically and mentally. I always know that I'll walk out feeling awesome. Definitely worth a try.
The first time I went to 9 Rounds I realized how out of shape I was! Every time you go the workout is just as challenging and it's fun and fast, it's a great workout for busy people on the go. The staff is awesome and makes working out fun! I would definitely recommend 9 Rounds to anyone looking for a challenge
I have been a member at many different gyms, and by far my favorite has been 9Round in Fort Mill. Jordon and his staff do an incredible job! The intensity of the workout and encouragement from the staff always made a stressful day at the office much better. I have now moved to GA, and the only thing I miss about Fort Mill is 9Round and the amazing staff.
I love the intensity of the workouts and the trainers were always there to help me scale when I needed to. The variety of the workouts never make it mundane and my husband and I always look forward to coming. Jordon and the trainers are very in tune with ensuring people are using proper form which is important to me with some of the physical limitations I have. I would not only recommend 9Round for anyone but especially this location, everyone is amazing!
9Round Certified Trainers
Jordon "Baby J" SimmonsOwner and Certified 9Round Kickboxing Fitness Instructor Jordon "Baby J" Simmons has had a passion for fitness his entire life. After finishing his college playing career, Baby J embarked on his journey of helping others in the best way he knew how: as a coach. His career took him from the University of Alabama, to the University of Oklahoma, and then finally to Fort Bragg where he served as a Tactical Performance/Strength and Conditioning Specialist training the 3rd Group Special Forces. Regardless of the venue, Baby J found that his happiness was always determined by the impact he had on others through fitness. Jordon uses the Master’s Degree in Exercise Physiology, as well as his other qualifications such as being a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist, a Certified Functional Movement Screen Professional, and a Muscle and Nerve published co-author in order to create fun, fast-paced workouts for his members at 9Round Fort Mill. He can be found on the floor in the early mornings, and late in the evenings, with plenty of energy and enthusiasm!
Jordan "JK" KylesCertified Trainer Jordan Kyles is originally from Orlando, FL. She began playing basketball at a young age and earned a scholarship at Palm Beach Atlantic University. Shortly after graduating, she got married to her husband Marques and they moved to South Carolina in 2013. Seeking a good workout after her collegiate career, she joined a Boxing/Jiu Jitsu gym and quickly developed a passion for it. Shortly after, she began working as a 9Round Trainer. She took a brief hiatus to focus on coaching high school basketball, and is still currently a High School Varsity coach, but she missed working at 9Round so much that she resigned from her full time job at the school to come back as a trainer. She dedicates her life to inspire and impact both her 9Round Members and her basketball players, helping them better themselves physically and mentally. Working at 9Round has inspired her to fully transition to a career in fitness and/or coaching. She is actively pursuing a Personal Training Certification through NAFC to further increase her fitness knowledge. You can find her eager to assist you in the mornings at 9Round Fort Mill!
Stuart "Sensei" PhillipsSpecial Guest Saturday Trainer, Stuart Philips, is a four year student of Grand Master Wayne Lewis in the art of Tae Kwon Do. He uses his martial arts experience in order to create a better fitness experience for the members at 9Round Fort Mill! Stuart believes in kickboxing fitness because of its ability to enable both young and mature adults to reach their ideal fitness goals, and then maintain their fitness level with a small weekly investment of time and knowledge. He earned his Masters of Physical Education and has experience with Olympic lifting, kettlebells, water aerobics, running, and jumping rope among their things. He truly enjoys seeing members enjoy the kickboxing experience, as he gets a "kick" out of you!
Jax "Giggles" HendricksonCertified Trainer Jax Giggles Hendrickson was born in Boise, Idaho, and she excelled in sports from a young age. Her passion for fitness only increased through her childhood. For six consecutive years she competed in hurdles and multiple other events in track and field. Following her athletic career, Jax became a lifeguard and a camp counselor. Those experiences, as well as her involvement in the art of karate, taught Jax the leadership, discipline, and hard work that make her an outstanding trainer. She hopes to help others become their best, all while continuing to learn herself. She is a very bubbly and outgoing person - energy is her specialty! You can find her bouncing around the gym throughout the week!
