Come on in for your 30-minute, total body, kickboxing workout! Because of our circuit- type format, there are NO CLASS TIMES! Each circuit is 3 minutes, so essentially each class starts in 3 minutes- come in on YOUR time. These circuits change every day so you will NEVER get bored of the workout. I love how I can stop in anytime and jump into a great workout. Everyone is very nice, and they aren't afraid to push you!
Since the beginning of the new year, I've always wanted to enroll myself into a cardio kickboxing program. But I didn't think that I could commit to a program because I was scared of making a fool out of myself and I didn't think that I could handle it. After two months of procrastinating and saying that I'd join when I'm ready, my friend Melyssa actually asked me to come with her. So I did. My first day here was last Tuesday. I was pretty hesitant to join because I was intimated by the atmosphere, the other members, and the trainers. But after jumping right into it, I was surprised. The trainers are AMAZING! They worked with me and showed me the proper techniques without any judgement and encouraged me to do better. I was so scared that they were going to laugh at the way I punched! Lol. But they didn't. I love the intensity of the circuit -- it's challenging, but that's the only way you'll see results. Michael definitely left an impression on me during my first day. He's an awesome trainer. Because it was my first time ever participating in a cardio kickboxing class, I thought it would be ideal for me to try another gym to have something to compare it to. But the other gym that I tried had nothing on 9Round. 9Round is well organized and it's obvious that the trainers know what they are doing. They adjust the program depending on your fitness level and they aren't afraid to push you to do better. They are all amazing people who truly want you to be in the best shape that you can possible be in. I believe that the circuits restart every 3 minutes, so you can literally come in at anytime and jump right in when you are ready. Also, I love their playlists!! #WorkWorkWorkWorkWork I love this place and I'm so happy that I already found a program that I enjoy! I'm now on my sixth day and I already feel like I'm a part of the 9Round family. I love it so much, that I literally drove for an hour in traffic from Fullerton yesterday, right after doing an 11-hour shift, just to come and train. Michael was there and, once again, he killed me. After finishing my circuit, he grabbed me from the sitting area and told me to do a weighted squat with shoulder presses/weighted wall squat-routine for ten minutes. Thank God Beyonce came on during my last set because I don't think I would've been able to finish it otherwise. Lol. Although it may seem pricey, I truly believe that it's totally worth it. As long as you stay dedicated to your fitness/health goals, you'll get there with the help of the incredible staff. You can do it! Now join us!!!
There is no reason to wait. You need to start now. Great people, amazing workout, fabulous trainers, supportive atmosphere...results will come. I walked in because I wanted to see a change in me. LOVE THIS PLACE! I wish Riza had one of these in Huntington, Seal, and Long Beach too! I would be going every freaking day if it was closer to me! If you're looking for a good way to start your journey into getting into shape, I highly recommend 9Round! The work out is super effective, but it's only 30 minutes, and there are no class times, so you just drop in whenevers convenient and get your sweat on! There are always at least one (usually 2-3 trainers around) to tell you how to do things and push you forward into a better workout! You'd have to be pretty rich to pay for that kind of personalized training! If you're already an athlete, I think you'd probably still get a great workout here too! They change it up EVERY DAY! It's always new, and always challenging! and it looks like they throw some ringers at you if you get too comfortable doing anything (thank goodness this hasn't happened to me yet, I'm already challenged!) Come by and try it out! You get a work out for free to see if it's something you want to do!

Riza "The Diva" AysonRiza is the Owner and Trainer at the gym! She is a mother of three, an entrepreneur and is now bringing 9Round to Fountain Valley/Huntington Beach/Costa Mesa area in sunny SoCal! She has been a group fitness instructor for over 14 years and is excited to build a community of like-minded, health conscious people in her area! She is originally from Pensacola, Florida, however she lived in New Orleans for over 10 years. She moved out west after Hurricane Katrina devasted her home and community there and has rebuilt her life here in Orange County. She is married to Jeff Lovin and mom to Ethan (10), Cameron (7) and Layla (1).
Fletcher "Flexxn" SmallFletcher's love for fitness began in grade school with his love for running and kickball. His passion for fitness continued into high school and college where he fell in love with track & field and strength training. After college he found himself working in an office still wanting an active lifestyle, which lead him to helping friends, family and people in his community pursue their own health and fitness goals. Now with over 10 years experience as a person trainer and health coach, Fletcher's mission at 9Round is to inspire and encourage people to lead healthier and more active lifestyles.
Vaughn "Baby Bull" CrawfordVaughn Crawford's love of fitness began in 2002 when he first walked into a gritty and tough Philadelphia boxing gym.Vaughn worked on his boxing craft while attending college in Pennsylvania. While in school Vaughn won the Pennlvania Golden Gloves Championship.During his boxing training sessions he was abl to lead group conditioning classes. This is where his passion for fitness grew. Now that Vaughn is apart of the 9Round team he wants to touch lives with a smile and a kickbutt 9Round workout.
Stephanie "SWING" MondinoSteph was one of the first people to try 9Round on the day we opened. She knew immediately that this is what she was looking for in a gym. She used to kick box many years ago but after her instructor moved to the east coast she floated from gym to gym trying to find that “perfect” workout again. At 9Round she found exactly what she was looking for: a challenging workout, flexibility, convenience, and friendly trainers. Maintaining a healthy lifestyle is very important to her. She has been a registered nurse for over 20 years and knows the important roles that exercise and healthy eating play in one’s life. She became a certified 9Round trainer to teach people the importance of physical activity and inspire healthy lifestyles.
Jeff "THUNDER" LovinJeff Lovin has been a fan of boxing all of his life. He grew up watching the greats like Ali and Sugar Ray. It wasn’t until he was recovering from back surgery and was looking for something to strengthen his core and overall fitness, did he try a 9Round workout for the 1st time. He instantly fell in love with it and was going 5 days a week. It wasn’t long before he became a trainer himself. Jeff has been a scuba diving instructor for 12 years- so he knows how to work with large or small groups and pay attention to each individual at the same time. He has a passion to help people better themselves and reach their goals thru 9Round because it was so successful for him. He is married to owner Riza Ayson and a father of 3.
Leo "BOOM" MaduenoLeo's first pair of Boxing gloves were given to him at the age of two by his father who was an amateur Boxer in Mexico. Leo's interest in Boxing/Martial Arts came easily in the era of Legends such as Julio Cesar Chavez, "Sugar" Ray Leonard, Marvin Hagler, and the pioneer of modern MMA, Bruce Lee. It wasn't until Leo enrolled his daughter in a boxing/kickboxing class to improve her striking (for her own Martial Arts training in Aikido) that he really fell in love. Soon after, Leo began training for his first amateur fight. Unfortunately, the everyday challenges of raising his daughter alone didn't leave him much spare time. But with his daughter enroute to graduating High School, Leo (a.ka."Boom") has finally returned to boxing. As a certified 9Round trainer he brings his years of patience, personal attention, and funny demeanor to 9Round Brookhurst.
Jenni "J-LUU" LuuAt 38 years old, I am in better shape than when I was in my 20's. After having 2 kids, I had a hard time getting back into shape and losing the baby weight. In 2010, I decided it was time for me to get it together. I started to work out at least 4-5 times a week at Crossfit Newport Beach. Regardless of how challenging the WODs were, I would show up and put in the work. The dedication led to hitting Personal Records that I never knew I could attain and giving me the confidence to know that I could physically do what I put my mind to. I competed in the Reebok Crossfit Games Open 2 years in a row and placing in the upper half of my age division in Southern California. In May 2015, my friend introduced me to 9Round. I signed up to be a member the very next month in June. I made many friends throughout the months at the gym and my interest of working out at 9Round eventually grew into becoming one of the trainers at 9Round. Shadowing Riza, Fletcher and Vaughn gave me invaluable experience as a 9Round trainer. I am thrilled to be part of this family and I look forward to training each one of the member. I enjoy motivating people to do their best.
Michael RodriguezMichael Anthony Rodriguez is a fitness trainer and a Mixed Martial Arts fighter. He has been training in the art of Muay Thai and boxing for over 4 years, and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu for 2 years. He also comes from a strength training and Crossfit background and is working on becoming a Crossfit level 1 coach. Michael is currently enrolled in school pursuing a degree in Kinesiology and then looks to take part in the physical therapy program in CSLB. While in school he is also getting certified as a fitness specialist, nutrition specialist, and athletic trainer. For fun Michael likes to go on runs at the beach, rock climbing, and pretty much anything that requires some sort of physical activity. Don't hesitate to ask him for some extra rounds of his fun and challenging workouts. He may be young but definitely well educated in the fitness industry. Stay on the lookout for his upcoming fights!
Jason RumaoMy name is Jason Rumao. I moved to California from Michigan about 5 years ago. Martial Arts has always been a big part of my life. I have 15 years experience of training and fighting. I am trained in Boxing, Wrestling, Muay Thai and Submission fighting. I have a true passion for helping people better themselves.
