How It Works
- You wear your 9ROUND PULSE™ belt during your workout.
- As you work out, the device tracks how hard you’re working and displays your effort rating, your heart rate and calories burned on a monitor inside the 9Round club.
- You can easily see if you’re in your optimal fat burning zone and adjust your effort up or down as needed.
- View your results and progress any time from the app or your online account. Your results are also emailed to you after each workout.

9Round Certified Trainers
Justin "Sledge" Hammerstrom - Director of Franchise TrainingAfter many years in the fine dining industry, Justin made a needed change and took over a financially floundering high school cafeteria; turning the menu around to healthy choices while simultaneously making it very profitable. While at the high school, Justin coached wrestling for over 15 years and held a professional MMA title in the Welterweight division. Justin is the Director of Franchise training at the corporate office, which includes training new franchise owners and providing support to franchisees across the world.
Fernando "Nando" MontillaFernando Montilla, aka, "Nando" was a 9Round member for two years. During that time he realized he could not get enough 9Round. He loved 9Round nation so much he decided to join the team and help others realize their fitness goals. Nando is here to help you get the most awesome workout and to help you exceed your goals.
Deanna "Destructive" FowlerDeanna is comin’ in hot straight from Charlotte, NC where she grew up and went to college at UNC-Charlotte (Go Niners!). She played tennis in high school and college and loves keeping active. She is an avid runner. She once ran a 5K, got a Charlie horse, and lived to tell about it! She finished 2 marathons in a weekend, which is impressive because these seasons both had 10 hours of shows each. She has a black belt in taekwondo and dabbled in cross fit and cardio based circuit classes until she tried out 9Round and got hooked. As a trainer, she is literally on fire calling out drills on the workout floor. “Literally on fire” as in how your legs feel working out at 9Round or any other misapplication of the word “literally”. She is enthusiastic about fitness and helping others reach their personal fitness goals. This enthusiasm motivates her to be the support you need in your corner to get the best workout possible in 30 minutes. Fun Fact: Chuck Norris himself looks up to her (evidence is in the picture).
Jovetta "Wicked" WalterJovetta is a long time runner, enjoying races from 5ks to marathons. Originally from Michigan, Jovetta graduated from University of South Carolina with a degree in special education. Working as a part time teacher, Jovetta was seeking a diverse way to spend her mornings. She was excited to join the 9Round team and be able to share her passion for fitness and healthy living through her skills of education. Jovetta is excited to help her members achieve their goals!!
Calvin "C-Money" AumanCalvin started with 9Round in the spring of 2015. He was a member for almost a year and a half before coming on board with us. He has a passion for fitness and teaching others. His favorite round is Round 2 because it is a mystery of what you will get everyday. His favorite exercise is the Iron Cross!

Shon "Grapefruit" GroveComing to you all the way from Philadelphia, PA, Shon brings us his love and passion for Physical Fitness and healthy living. Physical Education Teacher by day, Superhero by night-Shon aids in helping our members achieve their fitness goals and finding the results they are looking for by challenging you, pushing you, and motivating you. Katie CogginsKatie is a fighter, coach, trainer, and a student! She’s practiced the art of eight limbs, Muay Thai, for several years- but her passion for kickboxing all began at 9Round! She decided to become a trainer because of her passion for fitness, and there’s nothing she loves to see more than someone reaching their goal. Come in for a kickin’ good workout with Katie, you won’t be disappointed!
Tyler SprowlsTyler Sprowls has greatly understood the value of health and fitness since he was a child. His parents (one being a personal trainer) always encouraged a healthy lifestyle for the family. As a child, Tyler had serious health issues. He spent time with doctors and nutritionists and learned from a young age how to be health conscious and overcame his illnesses. Tyler knows the benefits of a healthy lifestyle and to not take it for granted. He loves to encourage and educate others so they can do the same!
Crystal HarrisCrystal is a health food, and fitness junkie. Her goal is eventually own her own gym. She loves the reward she feels from helping others achieve their goals. She is ready to dedicate her knowledge and killer workouts to all the members. Do you 9round? Cause Crystal does!!

9 Round is honestly the most amazing gym. You are always being challenged, but the trainers will adapt the workout for you if you need it. I always walk out feeling amazing and going to the gym has become fun, rather than a chore!
