About the team
Tim is the owner/operator of 9Round Lawrence and 9Round Olathe along with his wife Barbara (the Boss) Edwards. As a former Marine, Fitness has been a... life long commitment for Tim. He spent over a decade training and instructing Bushidokan Karate. Often competing in local and regional events in point karate and PKA Kickboxing. More
Working out used to be something I would do because that's what you're supposed to do, not because I enjoyed it. I would always see people kickboxing... on TV and thought that would be a cool workout to try, but never found anything that worked for me and my hectic schedule! Then I stumbled across 9Round Lawrence and it had everything I was looking for and now I enjoy working out! As for my day job, I'm a School Counselor at one of the middle schools here in Lawrence. I earned my undergraduate and graduate degrees at Kansas State University (Go "Cats!) and when I'm not molding young minds or having people do burpees for fun, I'm in Manhattan cheering on the Cats for a football or basketball game. I can't wait to help you reach your goals! More

The trainers are awesome! I had no background in kickboxing before 9Round, but they have taught me along the way and are always patient and make it fun. I love coming in early morning and getting my fitness done in 30 minutes, then I'm ready for the day. My body is stronger and leaner after 2 months working out 5 to 6 days a week. The punching and ki... cking stations have helped also my confidence. Andre and Sheila are excellent trainers they make sure I'm working out correctly and safely.
