Elizabeth "The terminator" JohnsonHello My name is Elizabeth "the terminator" Johnson I am a self proclaimed "FITNESS BUFF" I get my nickname "The Terminator" from being tough as nails in the gym. I am right in the midst of training for my FIRST time walking on stage, I will be competing in Physique at The Palmetto Cup right here in Columbia on May 2nd 2015. So I have been doing the whole dieting and training really hard in anticipation of the big day. At the age of 49 I have made great strides in my health over the course of a few years. I once weighed 240 lbs and was a size 24. I lived this way for 20 years also along with the weight and discomfort of being so big. I also struggled with diabetes, high cholesterol, high blood pressure, thyroid issues, arthritis and SVT which landed in the hospital a number of times. I was taking in excess of 26 pills a day to control all of my problems that came with my weight. So I finally took the plunge and joined a gym in Augusta, GA and it was very intimidating to say the least. It was a true struggle just to make myself go and get involved. I did so and I started seeing changes slowly at first. Then I joined weight watchers to help with the weight loss. It took me well over a year to lose the first 50 lbs. I yo-yoed up and down and back and forth. It was a nightmare. But I have stayed as focused as possible and slowly but surely things started changing. I moved to Columbia and first thing I did was join a gym there. So I could keep my journey going. I took all the advice from coaches and trainers to finally get me where I am today. I still struggle with wanting to stop and just chill and live my life with out all the diet restrictions and working out. So I truly understand EVERYBODIES struggle. It can be done with the right nutrition plan and working program. So I am here at 9 Round in Lexington helping everyone I can to be the BEST person they can be. 9 Round Kickboxing is the ultimate workout to keep you motivated. I have been coming here everyday but Sunday since July 29, 2015 and it has been an amazing workout and experience. Liz, Brian and Gregg are awesome trainers and very supportive during the workout. This is definitely an ideal place to come get an awesome workout. Thanks!!!
9 Rounds is amazing. I started in May and in 3 months, I've lost almost 30 pounds from going to them. I am getting stronger and healthier everyday. 9 rounds trainers do a great job of motivating me to reach my goals, and I can't wait to see where I am a year from now!!!
Second time to go through the rounds and it is awesome
My wife and I started 9Round about 2 weeks ago. We both love the workout and are exhausted after 30 minutes. We always feel good about ourselves after we leave. The staff is great. The are so helpful and motivating each time we come in. It is high energy and a lot of fun but a lot of work! Thanks Liz, Robert, Greg, and Tay!!!!
If you have 30 minutes, you have time for this workout! It is not easy, but it is never boring and it works every muscle group -- even the ones you forgot you had. Don't worry about making a class time, either -- start working out when you are ready. And it's great for the kids, too...my teens love it!
