WHY MEMBERS LOVE US:

  • The routine is different every time I go. Trainers make it fun and are helpful

  • The routines are different - high impact. I LOVE THEM! You also don’t have to schedule your classes; you come and go during their business hours. I burn a TON of calories in a half an hour. I have lost 6 pounds in 4 weeks of attending classes. Plus, you have the option to do another round. But most of all, I LOVE your trainers. They are kind and patient. They never make you feel stupid when you need help. CHAD ROCKS!

  • My favorite part about 9Round, aside from an awesome work out, is how welcoming the staff and members are, no matter which location I go to. There’s no judgement, just encouragement!

  • Every single workout is different, interesting, and fun. I am always working hard and pushing myself and feel energized when I’m done. After only 1 month, I already see changes in my body—more muscle definition and a leaner appearance.

  • The trainers are all excellent and create an atmosphere you want to keep going back for. The workouts change each day as well keeping it fresh and working the entire body.

  • The workout changes so the time. It's 30 minutes. And the Trainers!

  • I like the variety of exercises and the ease of access. I never have to wait long to get into the workout rotation.

  • I love the encouraging and high-intensity atmosphere. The trainers are always willing to help, yet challenge you to be at your physical best. The workouts are always fun and simultaneously difficult but in the best way possible. I actually look forward to working out as opposed to just going the gym and doing a mediocre, dull workout. The experience is amazing and I Would recommend it to anyone who looking to have fun while getting fit at the same time.

  • It’s always a different challenging workout everyday, because it’s total body it’s something I can do every day without overworking one muscle group.
    - Apr 2, 2018 by S.N.
  • Daily change up of workouts. Staff is engaging and pushes/encourages you. They call you by name!
    - Apr 2, 2018 by Rich Adams
  • I have a few favorite trainers and get excited when I see who is helping me that day! The different workouts everyday is always nice and works everything out!!
    - Apr 2, 2018 by T.M.
  • I can start anytime you are open. And it is different every time, so it doesn’t get boring. Also because of multiple knee surgeries, the trainers can very easily change up exercises.

About the team

  • 9Round trainer
    Matthew Hegele
Matthew has owned and operated 9Round in Louisville for almost 4 years now. He began with just one location in St. Matthews with a clear goal in mind; to take over the entire Louisville market... and he has done just that. Born and raised in Louisville, Matthew has a clear passion for this city and the people in it. He is extremely passionate about the members in his gyms, and just getting to know people, in general. Chances are, if you've met Matthew one time, he'll remember you by name! Matthew has a pretty extensive background in mixed martial arts, including kickboxing. Over 4 years of Tae Kown Do, judo, kickboxing and boxing experience, as well as extensive experience in the fitness industry, has given Matthew the knowledge and passion he needed to operate a gym like 9Round. If he's not training members in his gyms, chances are that Matthew's working from home with a cup of coffee, running errands, hiking some trails, or eating massive amounts of food somewhere (his other passion)!

    Robyn Sutton
Robyn Sutton is the manager and trainer of the 9Round gyms in Louisville. Since Robyn was young, she has been immersed in the health and wellness scene with parents who managed fitness centers. Between spending her childhood in gyms, and competing in multiple sports, such as soccer and track & field, it was natural that she gravitated toward a career in the fitness industry. Robyn has extensive background as a personal trainer in bootcamp-style classes and strength training programs, as well as 4 years of kickboxing experience. "The reason I love 9Round so much is that it's the perfect blend of different types of workouts that really push people towards their individual goals." Along with the kickboxing aspect, Robyn's favorite part about working at 9Round is the relationships she has with the members. She loves getting to know the members and learning about their goals and aspirations, as well as helping them on their fitness journeys. In her spare time, Robyn enjoys being outdoors and pushing her limits climbing mountains, open-ocean free-diving, and other types of adventure travel!
