9Round Certified Trainers
Christy RaynorChristy is a Louisville native with a passion for health and fitness. She holds a BSBA with a concentration in Computer Science from the University of Louisville and led a very successful corporate career for 15 years. With a desire to help people change their lives, she left her corporate career and became a certified personal trainer. With over 4,000 hours of personal training, she decided to open the first Louisville 9Round kickboxing studio. She began kickboxing and boxing in her early 30’s and loves the workout regimen and full body results.
Christine "Freddy" AlfredChristine grew up an athlete and has always had a passion for being active. She holds a BS in Exercise Science with an emphasis as a Health and Fitness Specialist. In 2008, Christine started teaching fitness classes at the University of Northern Iowa and from there got the opportunity to intern at a children's weight loss camp in San Diego. From there, she started personal training, became a Corporate Wellness Director, and 9Round instructor. Christine's main goal is to help people become the best version of themselves through exercise.
Laura "Showtime" YancyLaura "Showtime" Yancy is a healthy living advocate with a passion for all things food and fitness! She holds a BS in Exercise Science and is currently studying to receive her Exercise Physiology certification through ACSM. Fitness has been a huge part of her life for the past 6 years. She truly enjoys helping people reach their goals through exercise and developing healthy eating habits. She has tried several different fitness trends from boot camps to hot yoga but nothing is quite as engaging or rewarding as the 9Round workout! Laura is very excited to be a part of the 9Round team and looks forward to helping others gain confidence and knock out their goals with a fantastic, full body workout that empowers and challenges you!
Alyssa "The Teacher" BaerAlyssa “The Teacher” Baer holds a B.A. in History and a Master’s Degree in Teaching. Alyssa is a full-time teacher at Pleasure Ridge High School. where she teaches Senior U.S. History. She is a trained KHSAA referee in Volleyball, Soccer and Basketball. Sports have always been a major influence in Alyssa’s life. She swam competitively for 14 years and played travel volleyball for 10. A shoulder injury ended her swimming career resulting in a struggle to find a fitness routine that would meet her physical restrictions, until she found 9Round. Alyssa has focused her life around helping others and she is so happy to take the same approach as a 9Round trainer.
Alyssa "Slice" HobbsAlyssa "Slice" Hobbs has been an active 9Round member since February 2016. She holds a B.S. in nursing and works full time as a registered surgical nurse at Jewish Hospital. Alyssa has been involved in sports since she was young and continued to play volleyball throughout her college career; however, after graduating, she struggled to find a workout regimen that would keep her engaged like organized sports did. 9Round offered a fast paced, high intensity, and ever-changing workout that had her immediately hooked. Alyssa's goal for every member is to encourage healthy living, increase confidence, and provide an engaging and fun workout.
Brandon PittsBrandon is a native Louisvillian with a passion for sports since a very young age. Brandon holds a Bachelor Degree in Exercise Science from Western Kentucky University, has over 75 hours of psychology education and experience, and is certified in Personal Training by ACSM with 3 years of experience. In the near future, he plans to receive a Masters Degree in Physical Therapy from the University of Kentucky. Brandon joined the 9Round team in August 2016 and was immediately captivated by the environment and the people that come in to knock out a workout. His energy and attitude translate very well into his passion for helping people achieve their fitness goals. Known to be the "hype man" and the "proper form police", he will always be nearby to motivate and help you maximize your workout so that you achieve your desired results.
Jason "Big Thunder" LightJason Light holds a BS in Exercise Science and is a ACSM-Certified Personal Trainer. Jason’s desire to train and help people happened far before he was ever certified when he was in the United States Marine Corps. Jason was put in charge of another Marine that was having trouble passing his fitness test. After two months of working on diet and exercise with Jason, he passed his test easily and completely transformed his body in the process. Jason pursued a career in personal training after serving in the military for four years. Jason joined 9Round Sept 2015 and immediately fell in love with the workout routines and overall atmosphere. Jason joined the team as a 9Round trainer Dec 2015 and is very excited about helping our clients reach their health and lifestyle goals! “I’ve always believed that if you put in the work, the results will come. I don’t do things half-heartedly. Because I know if I do, then I can expect half-hearted results.”
