  • The workout changes so the time. It's 30 minutes. And the Trainers!

  • I like the variety of exercises and the ease of access. I never have to wait long to get into the workout rotation.

  • I love the encouraging and high-intensity atmosphere. The trainers are always willing to help, yet challenge you to be at your physical best. The workouts are always fun and simultaneously difficult but in the best way possible. I actually look forward to working out as opposed to just going the gym and doing a mediocre, dull workout. The experience is amazing and I Would recommend it to anyone who looking to have fun while getting fit at the same time.

  • I love the workout— it is fast and effective. I had no idea how fun it would be to hit and kick the bags. Great stress relief!

  • It’s always a different challenging workout everyday, because it’s total body it’s something I can do every day without overworking one muscle group.

  • I have a few favorite trainers and get excited when I see who is helping me that day! The different workouts everyday is always nice and works everything out!!

  • I can start anytime you are open. And it is different every time, so it doesn’t get boring. Also because of multiple knee surgeries, the trainers can very easily change up exercises.

About the team

  • 9Round trainer
    Matthew Hegele
Matthew has owned and operated 9Round in Louisville for almost 4 years now. He began with just one location in St. Matthews with a clear goal in mind; to take over the entire Louisville market... and he has done just that. Born and raised in Louisville, Matthew has a clear passion for this city and the people in it. He is extremely passionate about the members in his gyms, and just getting to know people, in general. Chances are, if you've met Matthew one time, he'll remember you by name! Matthew has a pretty extensive background in mixed martial arts, including kickboxing. Over 4 years of Tae Kown Do, judo, kickboxing and boxing experience, as well as extensive experience in the fitness industry, has given Matthew the knowledge and passion he needed to operate a gym like 9Round. If he's not training members in his gyms, chances are that Matthew's working from home with a cup of coffee, running errands, hiking some trails, or eating massive amounts of food somewhere (his other passion)!
