    Sheila, shown here with Shannon"The Cannon" Hudson, CEO and founder of 9Round, is the owner of 9Round Middletown and operator. She is a Certified Personal Trainer, Certified 9Round Trainer, Cardio Kickboxing Instructor and Biggest Loser Fit Pro. Her passion for fitness comes from having a congenital heart defect and enduring open heart surgery twice. She has helped hundreds of people meet their fitness goals! She uses her fitness skills and knowledge to help charities raise money.Sheila, married with two teenagers, also holds an MBA and is a CPA. Being a busy Mom she loves the idea of a 30 minute, no class time, full body, trainer led workout. Her enthusiasm and passion will get Connecticut fit 9 rounds at a time!!

    Robin "ROCKIN" Reynolds
    9Round Middletown Manager Robin "Rockin" Reynolds or 'The Motivator" has been a Certified Personal Trainer - forever and a day! Robins favorite round is 5, the Wrecking Ball and her favorite 30 second drill is "Air Guitar Squat". Robin is also a Biggest Loser Fit Pro and a 9Round Certified Trainer and is passionate about changing peoples lives. Robin says "Just do it , to make it happen" Robin is married with 3 boys and lives in Middletown.

    Tracey "Fitzy" Fitzgerald
    9Round Certified Trainer Tracey "Fitzy" Fitzgerald has been with 9Round Middletown since opening Day February 6, 2014. She started as a member but loved it so much she quickly became a trainer. She has a passion for fitness and overall wellness. She has always been active from playing high school soccer, tp playing on a woman's softball league to running 5k's. Her favorite part of 9Round is pushing members to do "one more". Her love of helping others see their potential and challenging themselves to be better and stronger is always growing. Tracey has a Bachelors degree from Southern, is married with a son and two step daughters.

    Kina is a second degree black belt and successful college student. She is studying criminal justice in hopes of pursuing a career as a police officer."I believe that in respect, strength and humble character, everyone of any age and condition can accomplish anything!" Kina will help you place First in obtaining your goals!!

    Matt ""The Maniac"" Kelley
    Matt "The Maniac" is our Saturday morning energetic and enthusiastic Pad - Man. Matt was a 9Round member before becoming a trainer. He loves pushing people to be their best!! Matt is a black belt and loves to hike, bike, snowboard and do "just about anything crazy that you can almost hurt yourself." During the day Matt is an IT engineer at LEGO. Matt is married with 4 dogs and lives a stones throw away from the club!!

    Mark ""Mighty"" Devin
    Mark is a Certified NASM Personal Trainer, 9Round Trainer, USA Boxing Coach, and Black Belt in Tang Soo Do. Mark is also a Retired Law Enforcement Officer and Served as a Technical Sargent in the US Air Force. Mark loves the 9Round concept, thinks its an effective, efficient, fun workout and loves to "push the tempo". Mark lives in the area with his two children!!

    Rasheeb "The Hit Man" Shabazz
    Rasheeb is certified in NPTI, WITTS, and ISSA, Kick Boxing and Personal Training. Rasheeb is also a 6-Degree Black Belt and Self- Defense Instructor. For over nine years Rasheeb managed and provided personal training in the form of one-to-one instruction, and group classes for the Employee Fitness Center located at Connecticut Valley Hospital. Rasheeb works at a fast pace, full of high intensity. His approach is guaranteed to help take your fitness goals to the next level. Rasheeb’s priority is to motivate you, into excellence and give you a” no way out” mind set. As a married father of three, Rasheeb continues to show his competitive nature by being an Assistant Coach for a USA Wrestling Youth Club. Let Rasheeb help create the best version of you!

    Shawn is a graduate from Southington High School and Springfield Technical College. He was a member of the wrestling team for both schools. Shawn grew up around boxing and fitness. Learning all the tricks of the trade from his Dad!! He says "he loves being a boxing/strength/cardio coach and looks forward to helping 9Round members reach their fitness goals!"

    LARRY "THE DREAM" TILGHMAN . Certified WITS personal Trainer .Retired Law Enforcement officer . Has been in and around the Gym for over 20 yrs proficient background in Martial Arts as well as Boxing. Always brings HIGH INTENSITY and PERSONALITY to the Floor. His Passion is bringing people to their MAX and then pushing them past it . Utilizing multiple techniques and styles to challenge at every level. He stresses to make the most of each and every day as you can not get this time back !!

  • I always hated exercising, but when my friend asked me to try 9Round, I hesitantly agreed. Thank God I did because I am now a stronger, healthier version of myself, thanks to Sheila, Robin, Seth, and all the other trainers. I need someone to constantly encourage me, to show me exactly what I need to do, and to call me out when I'm not trying my hardest. 9Round trainers do all of this and more. They even knew my name the second time I came in to workout. When I say that this place changed my life, I mean it. I've lost 38 pounds and I can now win arm wrestling contests against all my friends, while rocking a bikini! I have more confidence, better balance and coordination, and more energy. There is no way I could've done this by myself at a conventional gym. Give 9Round a try and you'll be back for me. It truly is addicting.

As an exercise enthusiast, I was looking for an interval-based program that combines cardio with strength training, which is exactly what 9Round Middletown offers. I love the convenience of being able to drop in any time during hours of operation and not having to wait for scheduled class times. I also love that the trainers at 9Round are experienced and that each time I go, it's like having a personal training session. Each trainer is friendly and each works to help me attain my physical fitness goals.   • Love 9 Rounds! I have some physical limitations, and ALL of the trainers are good at finding me alternate exercises to do that still give me a great workout! They are all genuinely caring and encouraging!

  • When I joined 9 Round Fitness in Middletown I was a little skeptical of how successful the program really could be since I am a PE/Health teacher. However, I can say after a little under 3 months and 41 pounds lost that this program, when you follow the nutrition plan as well, can lead to wonderful results. I have never been a fan of simply going to a gym and using a treadmill for an hour. However, this program really only takes 30 minutes of working out each day and the results are phenomenal. Additionally, Robin Reynolds, Sheila Garvy, and Seth Nadler all are incredibly competent and also keep everyone smiling and motivated. If you are looking for a 30 minute workout that changes daily and gives the support of a great nutrition plan, I strongly recommend 9 Round Middletown.

  • Best challenging workout ever! It changes every day and Sheila, Robin, and Seth are fantastic motivators. Don't try this at home in fact home videos will not do what 9 Round does. Thank you for your expertise and motivation especially the last " 30 seconds!" of each round. A great 30 minute workout that keeps you coming back for more.
