Strength: Stations 1-2

You'll use dumb bells, kettle bells, medicine balls, jump ropes and other equipment to build strength and stamina. Our trainers help you at every station.

Kickbox Fitness: Stations 3-8

The real fun begins as you punch and kick heavy bags to build power, double end bags to increase coordination and timing, and speed bags to develop shoulder conditioning and speed.

Abs & Core: Station 9

You’ll tighten and strengthen all the muscles in one of the most common trouble spots, your core, which improves your ability to perform any movement you do for work, exercise, or leisure.

  • If you're looking for something different for a workout then this is the place for you. There are 9 rounds (workouts) and they are 3 minutes each. Every day they change it up so you never get bored. It's a great overall body workout and you will leave there sweating and feeling great. I joined with my daughter who is home from college for the summer and it's been great to have a "buddy" to keep you motivated and on track. The trainers are always helping you and are very motivating. I found it great to be able to go whenever I want and not be tied to a specific class time. You just show up and start at Round 1 and there is never a wait for "equipment".

    Audrey Hinds
    I'm a firm believer that one cannot fail at their purpose; therefore when life came at me at 100mph, I fought back and responded by becoming a certified massage therapist. During that journey, I learned so much more than muscles, tendons and ligaments; what I gained most from that experience, was compassion, open mindedness and respect for the mind and body's perseverance. Fast forward, 9 years later I'm now a mother of two, wife, a volunteer cross country and track and field coach, I've co-managed a spa for 2.5 years and recently completed my personal training certification. With little extra time; I sought out an excuse free way to maintain my health, wellness and sanity. Fortunately, I found it right here at 9 Round. It's the perfect way to balance my lifestyle and my goals and it challenges me to be more than I assumed I could. I'm thrilled to be part of such a high energy, passionate team that's making such a difference in RVA lives. We all have excuses, but they usually don't burn calories so come join us for a life changing experience!

    I have been physically active my entire life and grew up participating in dance, track, cross country, and basketball. I have both a Bachelor and Master's degree in health and physical education and taught physical education for the past 13 years at the high school, middle school, and elementary level. As an adult, staying active has lead me to the path of running longer distances, participating in weight and functional movement programs, and playing sports whenever I can! I am excited to help you reach your fitness goals and make you sweat at 9Round!

    I've been playing competitive soccer my whole life since the age of 5. From middle school to high school, I traveled to 5 different countries to play and represent Virginia's State team and the East Coast region of the United States. I then played college soccer for Christopher Newport University. After retiring from college soccer, I am now a current student at Virginia Commonwealth University and lift competitively, in which I plan to compete soon in a men's npc physique competition soon. I hope to bring my athletic and lifting experience to 9round to help members push themselves as well as enhance their form and technique.

    Nothing gets me pumped more than physical exercise. I always seek new ways to push my body and maximize my goals. I ran cross country and track for thirteen years with the intention of pursuing professional running. I maintained the title of top runner in the district and competed in many invitational and state meets. I was offered scholarships to run for a couple of collegiate teams and decided run with the Palm Beach Atlantic University Women's Cross Country. My passion for exercise began to expand from running to other areas of fitness such as ultimate frisbee, kickboxing, yoga, and weight lifting. Being a maximizer is one of my top strengths. I constantly seek ways to become the best I can be while setting others up to strive for that excellence as well. I believe there is great potential in everything, and once you commit your mind to it, nothing can stop you from pursuing it. As a 9Round trainer, I want to help you find your strengths and help set you up to reach and surpass your goals.

    Phil Evans
    Phil is the owner of 9Round Midlothian and a part-time trainer. He is a native Virginian who attended high school in Northern Virginia, and college and law school at the University of Virginia. Phil has been involved in the sports and entertainment business for nearly 20 years, and served as President of the NBA's Development League from 2002-2007. He is currently the General Counsel for Shenandoah University in Winchester, VA. An avid sports and fitness buff, Phil was a 9Round member for a year and a half in Greenville, SC before deciding to buy and open a franchise in Midlothian in June 2013. He has been married for nearly 32 years to Tammy Thompson Evans, his college sweetheart, and has 4 boys.
