    I have been physically active my entire life and grew up participating in dance, track, cross country, and basketball. I have both a Bachelor and Master's degree in health and physical education and taught physical education for the past 13 years at the high school, middle school, and elementary level. As an adult, staying active has lead me to the path of running longer distances, participating in weight and functional movement programs, and playing sports whenever I can! I am excited to help you reach your fitness goals and make you sweat at 9Round!

    The YMCA in Lexington, KY was the beginning of my fitness journey, the beginning of the aerobics era, think Jane Fonda and Richard Simmons. Does it really matter how long ago? Through raising children and now grandchildren, and several job transfers I had always managed to maintain a good level of fitness. Three years ago I fell from a Segway and broke my wrist – too much down time and I was at my most unfit ever. I found 9Round and haven’t looked back. I am at my best, most fit ever!     Jason Stanislawski
    Jason recently returned to Virginia from North Carolina where he received a Bachelor’s degree in Business Management. For the past 10 years, Jason has been coaching various degrees of competitive soccer from personal goalkeeper training and school aged teams to the collegiate level at Limestone College. In January 2016, he committed to working on his own fitness. He joined 9Round in Mint Hill, NC and never looked back. Over the course of a year, he lost over 100 pounds with the help of his trainers and a new diet and lifestyle. He is committed to helping everyone wherever they are in their journey whether it be strength training, confidence building, or maintaining an overall healthy lifestyle.

    Matthew Duty
    I was born and raised in Dinwiddie, VA. I graduated from Dinwiddie High School in 2008, and a month later I was in Fort Sill, Oklahoma completing basic combat training for the U.S. Army. I was assigned to 2nd Special Troops Brigade 4th Infantry Division out of Fort Carson, Co. I did one tour in Kandahar Providence, Afghanistan in support of Operation Enduring Freedom. My certifications and experience include: 7 years Personal Training (National Association of Sports Medicine), 10 years of Kickboxing and MMA Experience, Health and Fitness coaching, Group Training and Group Exercise lead instruction. “Failure happens when you’re trying to succeed so keep trying, you will not fail nor succeed if you give up.”

    Brad Thomas
    Born and raised in the great state of Ohio, Brad received his BA in Public Relations/Marketing from Westminster College (PA) in 2013. While at Westminster, he competed on both the Men’s Soccer Team and Men’s Tennis Team. After college, he was a Tennis Professional at both Midlothian Tennis Club and Woodlake Swim and Racquet Club for 3 years, and most recently served as Assistant General Manager of UFCGYM Richmond. Brad's motto? TRAINING TO BECOME THE BEST YOU CAN BE. Helping you live a healthy lifestyle: not only in the gym, but in your everyday life.

    Phil Evans
    Phil is the owner of 9Round Midlothian and a part-time trainer. He is a native Virginian who attended high school in Northern Virginia, and college and law school at the University of Virginia. Phil has been involved in the sports and entertainment business for nearly 20 years, and served as President of the NBA's Development League from 2002-2007. He is currently the General Counsel for Shenandoah University in Winchester, VA. An avid sports and fitness buff, Phil was a 9Round member for a year and a half in Greenville, SC before deciding to buy and open a franchise in Midlothian in June 2013. He has been married for nearly 32 years to Tammy Thompson Evans, his college sweetheart, and has 4 boys.

  • I have worked out at many different gyms over the past 30 years. The workout at 9Rounds is the best. I am in better shape than I was in my twenties. I get a great core, aerobic and strength training workout in less than 45 minutes. My upper body is stronger than ever. My balance and endurance has improved. I have never enjoyed sweating as much as I do at 9Rounds. The trainers are awesome also!

The trainers & other 9Round members are always friendly & supportive, which always makes it a fun place to workout as well.

  • We went there on a free trial for a girl's day! It's was pretty fun but I feel like it's a lil too pricey and far away for me so probably won't go back. When I first went they said I could pay per visit and it was like $10. I was excited and was planning on going back but then later was told they did away with that. Lemme know when they bring it back!

  • Love 9rounds! It’s fun and challenging! My favorite part is it’s not a class or group exercise just show up and workout! The trainers are great! They are always there to support you and give lots of encouragement. I have issues with my left knee and the trainers modify certain exercises for me to avoid injury but still have a great experience!
