About the team
Jeff is a Certified Personal Trainer through National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM). He also has certifications with NASM as a Corrective Exercis...e Specialist (CES) and Nutrition as well as International Fitness Professionals Association (IFPA) certifications in Personal Training and Sports Nutrition. He believes every workout should be FUN, challenging, and motivating! His enthusiastic approach for teaching fitness shines strongly through his charismatic demeanor. His specific focus is rooted in encouraging members to not only develop their bodies, but to ultimately facilitate life-changing experiences that reach far beyond the 9Round Fitness Studio or Gym. Born and raised in Kansas City. 2005 graduate of Shawnee Mission South and 2009 graduate of the University of Kansas. Upon graduation, I began boxing ...and continue to box at the amateur level (10+ years). I met Jeff upon visiting 9Round Fitness in Overland Park and knew I found a home. I have an extensive weightlifting and exercise science background and also have a 9Round Trainer Certification. I enjoy sharing my knowledge, creating smiles, and encouraging every member to get the best workout and sweat therapy session every time they walk in our door at 9Round OP! More

I can’t say enough great things about 9Round. I don’t have to worry about being late because every three minutes another round starts. I have access to a personal trainer. And when I say access I mean... the trainer is always available - answering questions, sharing tips, and showing proper techniques. I love that the gym is small and it’s not some big meat market. I go in and about 30 minutes later I’m done and I feel like I’ve worked my whole body. And finally, when I’m done I get an email summarizing the workout details from my 9Round heart monitor. I love so many things about it. But chief among them, my trainers, the members are kind and no one is judging me. Trainers are super motivating, enthusiastic, and they are willing to work with me to i... mprovise on some of the exercises due to my knee injuries for which I'll soon have surgery. I love it that you take the time to learn everybody’s name and call them by their name! I also like the personal attention, making sure that I know exactly what I’m to be doing at each round. I also ... like the in between activities and group activities. I would love it if you did at least one group activity for every visit. It is very motivating and high energy! I'm not a "gym guy," I want to be healthy but I own my own business and have 3 kids, so I don't want to spend hours doing it. I get more done in a half hour at 9Round than I did in a full hour at the ... gym. I always get my heart rate up, break a sweat and feel good about myself after. I love how it challenges me to do things I never thought I could at 60! I love that in 30 minutes I have worked every muscle in my body and am sweating like a dog. It is a different workout every ti... me I come and it's fun and challenging. I have NEVER joined a gym in my life! Once I went, I was hooked! I just love it and the trainers are so friendly. I love 9 Round and I do actively tell my friends about it. I'm a huge advocate of finding how to make exercise a part of your life, and I think 9 Round has a pretty good system for that.
