  • I love the feel of a structured yet personal work allowing me to push myself. The feel is much more like a sport or activity versus going to the gym and lifting weights. I have only been attending for around 2-3 weeks but have already noticed a difference in my day to day as well as my desire to attend the classes. Using the heart rate monitor is a must as it helps me pace myself and give me real time feedback.

  • I love the variety that 9 round offers. Every day feels different and focuses on different muscle groups. This also works best for me because the workout is ready when I show up and I don’t have to worry about a specific class time. I truly can work my work out around my schedule. The high intensity interval training keeps my heart rate high but finds balance with strengthening as well. I have been a member for three years and still look forward every workout.

    Christie "The Crusher" is originally from Lincoln, NE and is a huge Husker football fan (Go Big Red!). She moved to Colorado in 2002 and fell in love with the active lifestyle that the state offers. She is the manager at 9Round Parker Keystone and kickboxing is her all time favorite workout! She is ACE Personal Trainer and Group Fitness Certified and teaches a variety of formats, such as Insanity, P90X, Tabata, TRX, and HIIT, so loves bringing her exercise knowledge to the members of the gym! She takes pleasure in pushing members to their greatest fitness potential while also building a strong connection with each and every one of them. When she is not in the gym, she enjoys hiking and biking the mountains with her husband, two children, and pit bull.

    Shawnee "Nightshade" Covington
    "Nightshade" Shawnee grew up in Ogden, Utah. She was active in a number of sports growing up and became a world championship competitive athlete. She later moved to Colorado to attend CSU (Go Rams!). She is a beast in the great outdoors and thrives on living a healthy, active lifestyle. If not in the gym, you will likely find her hiking a mountain or exploring a lake in our beautiful state. She is a NASM certified personal trainer and also holds a B.S. in Psychology and an M.A. in Education. Words to Live By: Don’t Wish for It… Work for It! Fitness philosophy: Fitness is the sum of several factors and should be enjoyed. She’ll take pride in incorporating a high level of energy, intensity and creativity into every workout, so that members have fun and stay motivated while exceeding their personal fitness goals.

    Susie "The Smasher” is a Colorado native. She recently moved from Castle Rock to Parker with her husband and 7 kids, AND…she also has 3 dogs and 3 cats. She stays busy! She loves the outdoors and enjoys hiking, camping and skiing. She is also a runner who has completed full marathons and several half marathons. Susie is no stranger to the fitness world. After many years of running, she decided to take up fitness indoors. Over the last 8 years she has challenged herself in fitness classes such as Fit Zone, Bootcamps, CrossFit and many others. She loves fitness and the healthy lifestyle it brings with it. You won’t catch her shying away from a challenge because she enjoys pushing her physical limits. She has fallen in love with kickboxing fitness, enjoying the balance of weight training and cardio that it provides. She is thrilled to be part of the 9Round team, helping others achieve their fitness goals.
