9Round Certified Trainers
Jason "Jawbreaker" WongJason is a Certified Kickboxing Fitness Instructor and the Owner of 9Round Pleasanton. He is a highly energetic individual that has always enjoyed helping people achieve their goals. His passion for health and fitness began in his own life and he now looks forward to sharing that love with those around him. Jason spent his professional career working in roles within the financial services industry and has been involved with various charitable services throughout the Bay Area, including Junior Achievement and BACS. Jason is excited to have an opportunity to help the community get fit 9 Rounds at a time!
Erika "Bona fide " BonifacioErika is a fourth year Kinesiology major at Cal State East bay and has trained in Tae Kwon Do for 8 years. Some martial arts she has learned are Jiu Jitsu, Muai Thai, Krav Maga, and women's self defense. She was an assistant instructor at her parents martial arts studio where she also received her black belt. In her spare time, she enjoys hanging out with friends and family and doing outdoor activities like hiking, biking, running, playing basketball and more. She is looking forward to helping more people reach their fitness goals.
Kristina "Kunoichi" BetheaKris "Kunoichi" Bethea has been training kickboxing for over a year at CKO on the East Coast and is excited to join the 9Round family in Cali! Due to her highly energetic and outgoing nature, Kris has always been involved in intensive sports: prior to kickboxing she was a gymnast. Her nickname "Kunoichi" means "female ninja" in Japanese. Kris is originally from Croatia, she graduated in International Business from RIT in New York, and is currently an entrepreneur. She loves God, her family and her 2 cats, with whom she spends her free time. She is motivated to help people become the best version of themselves.
Natalia "No Mercy " Moreno-MartinezNatalia "No Mercy" Moreno is a health science major at Las Positas College. She enjoys living an active healthy and vegan lifestyle. When she's not in school, she spends her time running, going to concerts, and hanging out with her friends. She looks forward to helping others achieve their goals and to live a fun, healthy life.
Fiona "Quiet Storm" CheungFiona "Quiet Storm" Cheung graduated from UC Davis majoring in Exercise Biology. Her passion of helping people motivates her to pursue a career in physical therapy. Besides that, Fiona is a competitive badminton player, as she has been participating in multiple open tournaments around the Bay Area. In her spare time, she enjoys doing outdoor activities like snowboarding, hiking, biking, and kayaking. She is an energetic person and is excited to join the 9Round Pleasanton team to promote an active healthy lifestyle.
Milana "Pink Widow" IstakhorovaMilana “Black Widow” Istakhorova is currently working on her doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology. Her passion for health and fitness began with her own transition into the lifestyle from being overweight and unhappy to being healthy and loving fit life! When she’s not being a busy grad school student, Milana loves going hiking, hanging out with family/friends, and catching up on sleep! She loves helping people become the best versions of themselves and is excited to work with the awesome members of 9Round Pleasanton!
Melanie "Snow Tiger" ValdezMelanie attends Las Positas College and is studying to become an EMT. She has played tennis every day since she was seven years old and loves to hang out with friends. Her goal of working at 9Round is to push people to their limits and see them reach their fitness goals.
Kyle "The Blizzard" Winter.Kyle was born in Gilroy and has always loved sports, as he started playing baseball at 3 years old. He has played many different sports including baseball, basketball, soccer, football, track & field, and wrestling. Kyle aspires to be a wild land firefighter and EMT. Family is always the most important, and he became a 9Round trainer because he wants and loves to help people exceed their fitness goals!

I researched 9Rounds multiple times online and only read positive reviews. When I finally decided to try it out in the New Year, after the first workout I fell in love! The trainers are awesome and always positive and they continue to push you (in a positive way) to get stronger and try harder. I go at least 3 times a week now and couldn't imagine going anywhere else! :)
You absolutely cannot walk out of here in a bad mood. It doesn't matter what your fitness level is ( I routinely trip over nothing) - anyone can do this and have fun. The trainers are amaze-balls, and really keep the atmosphere fun.
I've been working out a long time, trying a variety of places and by far 9Rounds is the best workout I've had! At first I thought I wasn't going to get through it but now after 3 weeks I feel better than I have in a long time. The workout is amazing! The exercises and circuit training targets all areas of your body in a 30 minute workout. It's fun and the staff is encouraging and very engaging. You have to try it out. You won't be sorry!
I recently visited 9Round for the first time and wasn't sure what to expect. I really like the concept and felt like I got a much more thorough and efficient workout than when I go to a regular gym. Once you consider the time you save and the normal cost of a trainer it is a great deal. Jason and Nick were motivating (but not too pushy) and also very knowledgeable in instructing me how to perform the exercises. I would highly recommend anyone in the area try this location, the staff here is awesome!
I love it. The concept, the workout, the trainers, the environment, everything. It is an amazing workout in 30 minutes. I was spending almost an hour and a half at the gym. At 9Round, the workouts change everyday so it always keeps you guessing. The trainers and owner are always happy to see you and are committed to making sure you are not just completing the workout, but making sure you are keeping a good pace and most importantly using the right technique. They are great about helping members achieve they're goals by making tweaks to a station here and there for specific members. I've been really impressed with the team. I enjoy my workout, learn lots and all in 30 minutes.
Exactly the pick-me-up you need for the day!! There is never a dull moment in those 30 min. The owner and trainers will make sure you work every muscle. They'll modify according to your level and you don't have to think of what to do next. I've been going for less than 1 month and already see and feel a difference. Everyone is very enthusiastic, personable and fun! Definitely a keeper for my workout routine!
