When I joined 9 Round Reno in March 2014 I was struggling with a substantial, and embarrassing, weight gain put on by stress, going through a job lay off and moving across the country from SC to NV. Prior to moving, I was a member of 9 Round Greenville (Augusta Rd) and was in the best shape I had ever been in so I knew already that 9 Round worked and what a great, effective program it was. Trying to get back on track by myself was hard. I was going for walks and trying to use my apartment gym but it just wasn’t the same. After you’ve been to 9 Round pretty much nothing else measures up! When I found out 9 Round had opened in Reno I signed up immediately and it has been every bit as fun, challenging and rewarding as I remembered it to be. I walked in that day in March weighing 226lbs and by mid-June 50lbs were gone! There is no way I could have come so far so fast without the support of Matt Vidal. He performs above and beyond my expectations at every workout. He listens to what challenges I have, knows my goals and supports me every step of the way in achieving them. Plus, he makes it fun! This is one of the reasons why I LOVE 9 Round so much. The Trainers make you feel like a person and not just a “member”. That was true in Greenville with Mills and Jordan and its continued here in Reno with Matt. Even at 8 months into my membership at Reno, I’m challenged each time I visit – never bored, especially when it comes to Matt’s insane burpee workouts! I know I’m always going to get an excellent, different workout every day. I am now at 75lbs lost and continue to be excited about my 9 Round journey. I feel so much healthier, stronger and happier. My goal is to knock out an even 100lbs before this year is over (preferably by my December birthday). With 9 Round and Matt kicking my butt I’m certain it’s going to happen! ? I’m so grateful to the 9 Round Team: Thank you to Mills & Jordan back in Greenville for laying the foundation and getting me hooked and thank you to Matt for giving me a piece of home in Reno and getting me back on track. I LOVE 9Round! I started doing it about 8 weeks ago, as a new workout to get the blood flowing and since it was only 30 minutes why not. I could do it during lunch and go back to work. I love it i feel great a lot more energy and the best part i have lost 10lbs and in the first 4 weeks lost 17 inches! Woot Woot! How can you not love that. Matt is a great motivator. When i feel i done and cant do the full 30 minutes he pushes me with great words of encoragement. Matt's great attitude and awsome music make the 30 minutes fly by!
Matt has been awesome at motivating me and pushing me through the workouts. I am noticing how nicely I have started to tone up! The workouts are alot of fun, never the same, and make me feel great when I leave!!
Wow! I have done 4 workouts and stoked! I usually do the 30 minute workout in the mornings. Work up a great sweat. Matt Vidal is a great trainer and what i liked is every workout is different so you do not get complacent, love the Rocky music gets this 66 year old movin' groovin'. When i started i had trouble doing jumping jacks now can do sets of 10 with no trouble. Started at 193 pounds two weeks ago weighed in today at 189 want to get to a senior buff 180 pounds without the done lapped over disease by June. Hey Reno wake up! this is the best workout in town bar none!

Keeping your heart rate in the correct "FAT Burning Zone" is critical to getting the results you want. With our screens inside the clubs you will get instant feedback on whether you need to work harder or slow down. You will also receive MEP's for each minute you are in zone.
what are meps?
MYZONE Effort Points(MEPs) are a new metric for measuring physical activity. MEPs accumulate for every minute of activity that a user spends in the 5 effort(intensity) zones based on one's individual maximum heart rate. The more effort that is put in, the more MYZONE Effort points are earned.
Every user receives their own cloud based account where all activity is automatically uploaded acting as an online log book of all physical activity.
