  • It's hard to pick one. I'll start with the trainers. All of them are awesome! Clee, Aly, Taylor, Nico and Caitlin are all great! They are all really encouraging but don't step over into the super aggressive in your face "GIMME MORE" trainer mentality. They are also very good at evaluating the members fitness/experience levels and adjusting what they do accordingly. I've seen them give an alternate exercise at a station for someone who is just starting so they can get a good work out in. They've also adjusted my workout at a station because, to be honest, it was too easy for me. The best part though? Starting with my 2nd workout and every single time I walk in after that, they all greet me by name. They greet everyone what walks in by name! I don't know how they remember everyones name so quickly...but that is awesome. The way the workouts are setup are perfect for me. I've been a part of other boxing clubs and the class structure with a set starting time just didn't work for me. Being able to just show up and start my workout is exactly what I need. It's perfect for me. Get in, do my workout, get out. I'm looking to get in shape, not get in the ring and start boxing. 9 Round meets this perfectly. I can say that you all have found a long time member here. I'm very active, football, basketball, surfing, skateboarding, etc. But working out has always been a problem for me because I get bored easy. 9 round keeps things interesting for me. Since I have been going to 9 round, I have lost 12-13 pounds, but more importantly, my doctor took me off one of the two blood pressure medications I have been on. Overall...10/10 for 9 Round!

  • The trainers are super friendly and very engaging. They make me feel comfortable and they really motivate me to push myself harder.

  • This is the best workout I've done with the benefit of it only taking 30 minutes. Friendly and knowledgeable staff that know how to encourage you to push your limits through to the end. Since the workouts change regularly, you don't get the lull of doing the same thing at the gym day in and day out. 100% worth every penny if you can commit yourself to going 2-3 times a week

  • Awesome workouts with encouraging and motivating coaches. Also a great way to let out aggression.

  • Friendly, helpful trainers. No class times. Ability to modify exercises to accommodate physical limitations. Location. Cleanliness.

  • All the trainers are super friendly, helpful and they challenge you. I love that the workout is just 30 min and you feel great afterwards.

  • I like how it is easy to get in and get out of the workouts. No waiting. Even if it’s a packed day, they are able to double me up to any station. 9 Round has an awesome system!

  • I love 9Round and have been a member of the franchise for over 4 years! The variety each day keeps it from getting boring, the freestyle padwork makes it fun, the short time frame is efficient, the flexibility of the format makes it easy to schedule in, it's a great combo of both strength and cardio, and best of all, the trainers keep you motivated while working hard and keep you accountable to make sure you return (and you're always happy to see them because they're the best)!

  • -The commitment, devotion and fun interactions of our trainers -the flexible hours -the weekly challenges -the comical reminders ;) of making sure to work out regularly -the consistent updates -the studio I work out at in San Diego on Friars Rd feels like a real loving community.. I can see that there have been many friendships established I absolutely love my early morning trainers Dwaine and Alli and Glee

  • I have been with 9Round Mission Valley for two years, and I can't say enough amazing things about it. This gym and its trainers set you up for success, no matter whether your goal is to lose weight or gain muscle or decompress. My personal experience with the 9Round trainers makes all the difference. Each of them has a beautiful personality, which matters if you've ever stepped foot in a franchise gym. The trainers understand who you are and what your goals are; it comes so naturally to them because their collective disposition is to make sure you get the most out of your 9Round experience. The place is always clean, the vibe is always energetic (even if you're not!), and the results you gain are always the ones you came in wanting.

  • The trainers are awesome and it’s actually a workout that works great for me. I’ve always tried to get into going to the gym but it never really clicked til 9rounds

  • The trainers at the San Diego Friars Road 9Round are EXCELLENT! As someone close to 65 years old, I have a number of limitations due to various injuries. The trainers (especially Dwayne, Clee, and Ally) remember what I can and can't do and modify my workout accordingly. I also enjoy the variety of activities; in the past I've found working out to be very boring but 9Round keeps me interested and coming back.
