  • The trainers! Being an "old guy" I like that the trainers will work with me on a day to day basis. If something doesn't feel right or I am sore form another activity or an old injury, all I have to do is tell them and the will alter the workout to suit my ability at that time. Now don't get me wrong, they still encourage and push me to work as hard as I can! It's always a full body workout every-time I go! But it is nice that they really care about my health and well being. Always working to make me stronger (in 30 minutes) than I was the day before. I don't think you get that at the mega-gyms.

  • I've been going for 8 months and I feel great. It is by far the best workout for me now. The time is excellent at 40 mins or so. The trainers are friendly and motivating in a friendly way. Ive list weight and gain muscle and endurance. Best of all my cardiologist thinks its been fantastic and to keep doing it. I encourage all franchises to do what corporate trains you to do for the best experience.

  • I get a full calorie burning workout in in under 45 minutes from arriving to leaving. Builds good core stengrh, too, and is fun! Motivated trainers who don’t hound you, but are able to push you just a bit harder than you think you can do it yourself.

  • 9Round is the best gym ever. It works with my teacher and my mommy schedule. There is no class time and it is only 30 minutes. Being a teacher, I’m used to making plans for everyone else. It is so nice to go in there and the trainers have my workout planned out for me. It’s nice to not have to think about what to do, but Just getting the task done. There is a reason why I’ve been going to the gym for almost 8 years. Every day is different it is never boring. The trainers push me more than i would push myself if I were working out alone.

About the team

  • 9Round trainer
    Archie "Soy Sauce" Lumang
    Archie is the manager at the 9Round location at Harrison Bridge, but most people call him Balong. He is from the Philippines where he studied nursing. Archie is currently a graduate student at Gardner Webb University. He loves playing sports, especially basketball. When he is not at work, Archie is studying, camping, hiking, fishing, riding his mountain bike, running, watching sports, or spending time with his lovely wife and their precious daughter. Archie began working at 9Round last year and felt like it was a perfect fit for him. He enjoys helping the members to meet their goals, one workout at a time! Favorite kickboxing move: Jab, Jab, Cross, Duck Under, Round Kick.

    Lydia "Revswife" Pratt
    Lydia is originally from Athens, GA, and that’s where she met and married her high school sweetheart, Josh. They were married in February of 2016, and moved to South Carolina at the end of that same year. Lydia loves to play basketball, run, hike, bike, and travel. Lydia is excited to help people reach their fitness goals! Favorite kickboxing move: Jab, Cross Combo

    Justin became a member at 9Round, with his whole family, when he was 12 years old! He goes to Woodmont High School where he plays on the Tennis Team. Justin enjoys watching Football, Basketball, Baseball, Soccer and his favorite Kickboxing! He is excited to help members reach their fitness goals! Favorite kickboxing move: Uppercuts

    MacKenzie "KickinKenz" Rowand
    MacKenzie is a senior at USC Upstate, majoring in Exercise Science. She enjoys spending time with family and friends, working along side her husband in ministry, and all things health and fitness. One of her biggest goals is to encourage others to live healthy lifestyles. MacKenzie wants to help others reach their goals, and become stronger in 30 minutes, both physically and mentally.     “Katie is a second year Clemson student from Greenville who has a passion for fitness and kickboxing. She has been kickboxing with 9Round since the age of 12, but has also trained other martial arts & kickboxed competitively for several years.     Rob "Bear Toe" Middleton
    Rob graduated college in 2013 and worked in finance for 5 1/2 yrs. After being a member for 4+ years he needed a change and 9Round was his place, so he recently joined the team here. Rob enjoys being outdoors, playing sports and most importantly spending time with his wife and dog. Rob is excited to help our members reach their goals! Favorite kickboxing move: Knees

    Megan "Pitbull" McAllister
    Megan has been weight training for 6 years, fitness is her passion. She will push you until you reach your fitness goals, and after you reach them she'll continue to push you. When she's not at work you can find her at Table Rock hiking with Leahbells, her pitbull. Megan is excited to be a part of the 9Round team and to help our members to grow stronger physically and mentally! Favorite kickboxing move: Front Kicks

    Lindsay "The Kid" Marlar
    Lindsay became a 9Round member when she was 11 years old and began working as a trainer during her sophomore year of High School. Lindsay is now a freshman at Anderson University where she’s studying Marketing and Supply Chain Management. In her free time Linday enjoys working out and traveling any chance she gets. Lindsay loves getting to work with our members and watch them reach their fitness goals! Favorite kickboxing move: Hooks
