In real time, the 9ROUND PULSE™ in-club display shows your effort level, heart rate, calories burned, and PULSE Points earned during your workout. Color-coded heart rate zones make it easy to see your effort level at a glance.
How It Works
- You wear your 9ROUND PULSE™ belt during your workout.
- As you work out, the device tracks how hard you’re working and displays your effort rating, your heart rate and calories burned on a monitor inside the 9Round club.
- You can easily see if you’re in your optimal fat burning zone and adjust your effort up or down as needed.
- View your results and progress any time from the app or your online account. Your results are also emailed to you after each workout.

9Round Certified Trainers
Allen "DYNAMITE" DixonOur owner Allen is from Wellford, SC but currently resides in Inman. He is 44 years old and graduated from Byrnes High School and attended Spartanburg Tech. Allen loves that the 9Round workout changes daily and an individual can push themselves as hard as they want. He also appreciates the fact that a trainer, an awesome doctor moderated nutrition program is included and really likes the MYZONE heart rate monitor system so you can see exactly what's going on with your heart rate while working out. The most fulfilling part is seeing members reach their goals. He loves to see a person's reaction when they hit a milestone whether it be clothes size, weight, or improving a technique
Ashley "Lightening" LiehrAshley, our Eastside manager, is from NYC, but currently resides in Spartanburg, SC. She is 23 years old and just recently graduated from USC Upstate with her Bachelor's degree. Ashley loves meeting new people and helping them achieve their health and fitness goals through one-on-one personal training at 9Round. It brightens her day when a member comes in to tell her about their progress and how happy they are. Ashley's personal goals are to continue expressing her love for health and fitness by competing as a body builder.
Emily "The Menace" CrawfordMeet our operations manager of both stores Emily Crawford. Emily is 29 and from Boiling Springs, SC. Her favorite thing about 9Round is our members. She loves pushing everyone to their own limits and getting to know everyone on a personal level. Emily's favorite activity at 9Round is anything legs (*squats*) and pad drills. Her personal goals are to grow daily in every area of her life. To grow in knowledge by pursuing some type of degree in health and fitness, physically by pushing herself to reach her own fitness goals (drop a few dress sizes, complete a tough mudder, and lose 50 pounds), and to grow spiritually by staying active at her church. Come see her at either of our two locations (9Round Inman or Eastside) and let her help you reach your own goals!
Valentina "Val" IzaoWelcome our team member Valentina "Val" Izao. She is 20 years old and from Easley, SC. She was a member at the Easley 9Round for 6 months. Her favorite thing about 9Round is the enthusiasm from the members. She will push you wish her favorite exercises (v-ups and squat punches on the hand pads). She will be shared between our Inman location and the East Main Street store. Come out and meet her. She will give you a great experience of how 9Round is.
Joe "Monkey Joe" NeedsJoe is from Chesnee, SC and is 20 years old. His favorite thing about 9Round is the intensity of the workouts. He's favorite activity to do is sprawls and burpees. He loves working with our members and seeing people walking out a sweaty mess with a smile. His goal as a 9Round trainer is to inspire others to reach their own goals and to help others constantly improve. Come help us welcome Joe!!
Susie StephensMeet Susie Stephens. She is 19 and a student at USC Upstate. Her major is physical therapy. She is a former member of our Eastside location. Her favorite thing about 9Round is the trainer being here with you. She will be working at both of our locations. Come on in today and let her help you reach your fitness goals!
Brandon "Iceman" SlatonPlease welcome Brandon Slaton to our team with us. He is a Spartanburg native and is 20 years old. He loves 9Round because it is a full body workout. Brandon's favorite round is number 9. Speed bag work is something that interest him and that he is wanting to improve on. He's future ambition is to finish college with a sports science degree. Come by either location (Eastside or Inman) and workout with Brandon!

Have been going to 9R for over two years now and absolutely LOVE it! It's quick yet challenging~ It keeps me in shape like nothing else. And because it's different every visit, it doesn't get stale like other workouts. And great trainers too!
I love coming to 9Round East Main. The workouts are challenging and never the same. I'm never bored with the workouts. My coaches are welcoming, friendly and keep me focused. I feel like I've found my workout home.
I have been a member at9round east side since the first week they opened. If you know me I'm not a dieter so exercising is important to me. I have more energy and am more flexible with a lot less pain. I can also appreciate not having to figure out what to do as working out
I joined at the start of 2017. I love the trainers - they're very positive and knowledgable. The best part is that a class 'starts' every 3 minutes so it is very convenient for me. I leave every time completely wiped out but can't wait for the next workout!
