  • I’m newer to 9Round and absolutely love it! I’ve tried getting a personal trainer, home workout videos and just going to the gym to lose weight and nothing has been able to help me stay motivated or keep me interested. I found 9Round and decided to give it a try despite being nervous since kick boxing always sounded fun but intimidating. I love the work outs they give you and it’s always different so I don’t get bored and I genuinely enjoy the work out. The trainers are probably my favorite part of 9round. It’s a major help to have them there to coach you and help you to reach your goal whether it be weight loss or anything else. They are also very friendly I’ve had extremely positive experiences every time I go workout. I highly recommend 9Round to anyone no matter what stage they’re at in their fitness journey.

I also like how there is good equipment and a never ending array of different exercises. I’ve been going to the gym for quite some time and I still look forward to getting in.   • I like that its a quick, intense, fun, and rewarding workout. There is no scheduled "class" time. You just show up during the hours they are open and join right in to the 9round circuit. The staff is great! They are very motivating and will show you the correct way to do a workout if they see your doing it wrong. Other 9rounders are friendly as well. It's a great experience. I've been a 9rounder for a little over 6 months now and I love it!

  • I workout better when I am in a class setting, with trainers inspiring me to keep pushing, and also challenges. If you are the same than this place is for you! The atmosphere is upbeat, the trainers and friendly and get to know you on a personal level, they yell your name to keep pushing, the workouts change everyday, and the workouts push me. No matter how many times I have done the set I am always sweating and feeling pushed by the end of the workout. It is also very fun to punch and kick something!

  • Staff is great, they work with you to make sure you are doing moves properly. I feel like I have my own personal trainer. Always motivating! I like the fact that it is not a scheduled class time, that I can go anytime they are open and join right in to the 9 rounds. I feel great after each workout, and like that the routines switch up each day. I have fun while there, enjoy the music while working out. The 30 minute session goes by so fast, can't wait to come back the next day.

My schedule is different and working out when I'm available instead of at a particular time is invaluable to me. I also love that I can modify any move to make it easier or more difficult. I also love that I have a trainer there to correct me when I'm doing something incorrectly and to push me harder.

    Kat "Powder Keg" McGinnis
    Kathryn McGinnis is the proud owner of 9Round 30 Minute Kickbox Fitness. She loves being active in her community and has been a member of the Chamber of Commerce for over 10 years. In addition to her husband of 17+ years, she also has 2 teenagers and a pomeranian. When she's not working, she loves working out, helping others, cooking, laughing, the ocean, adventure, challenges, learning, growing and networking with friends and colleagues. Staying fit and healthy gives her the confidence and ability to do all the things in life she loves. After working out 3-5 times a week for over 10 years, her passion for fitness has brought her to fall in love with 9Round and a decision to open her own was made (opened 5/29/14). By the Grace of God and with the support of her family, friends and colleagues, she is thrilled to get Springfield fit, 9 Rounds at a time!

    Cody "Tyrogue" Rothermund
    Hello, my name is Cody. I am 25 years young and have an addiction for fitness. My Mom and Dad had me involved in athletics from the get go. It started with school athletics such as basketball, track, cross country, soccer and beginner level weight lifting. After years of doing so, I came to the realization that my true passion is pushing my body to its limits and discovering new ways to move and I love sharing and growing with our members!

    Steven "Synapse" Scovell
    I moved to Eugene from San Diego in October 2018 and would love advice on where to hike, eat, and see. I began competing in martial arts at age 8; started track, wrestling and football at 13. These sports and competitions provided me the platform to learn and adapt power-lifting and conditioning programs across different styles of athletics. Later, in the United States Marine Corps, I was able to gain an understanding of how military training could complement athletic strength and conditioning programs. After the military, I have worked as an athletic trainer for gyms, collegiate curriculum, and combat sports teams. There I learned how to assimilate different forms of functional exercise with several combat sports. My major training goals are: improving your nutritional health, functional fitness, athletic ability, and rehabilitation of injuries. I am grateful to Kat for adding me to this stellar team and cant wait to help each of you towards your fitness goals!
