  • The trainers are awesome! It's so nice to feel like I can push myself and challenge myself as an individual but still be a part of a welcoming community. I also am using 9 round as a stepping stone to boxing all together and they really help me with my form and power. I love the atmosphere and the fast changing pace!

  • You go in and just punch things! It's obviously more specific than that, but seriously, you go in and get to kick, punch, and have a great time with people who are all having a great time too! The staff are supportive and informative for good form. As a lifelong cardio focused athlete, 9 Round has inspired me to not be afraid of lifting weights and to get more strength through circuit workouts.

  • The workouts change everyday, you can get a quick full body workout in at whatever time you want to go (no class times) and it gets done in just 30 minutes. The trainers are amazing, so helpful and so friendly. I don't feel like anyone is watching me or judging me because it is just be doing the workout at the station, everyone is doing something different so they are focused on what they are doing. Basically it is the opposite of every other workout 'class' I have tried in the past. I absolutely love it!

  • Everything! Love being able to come in and get a workout in without having a class time. I like having to work a lot of different muscle groups as well as speed and balance and mind workouts. It's a complete workout. I especially like freestyle rounds because I learn even more from them. Trainers are great and I look forward to working out every time.

  • 9Round has been a game changer for my workout routine. Even though I was a former college athlete, I quickly got off the motivation track and became lazy without a structured plan. I've tried home gym setups and workout video programs but it was too easy to use "I'll do it later" as an excuse. I also tried regular gym memberships and also paid for a gym's expensive "personal trainer" but I would spend over an hour and never break a sweat. When I finally got around to trying 9Round I knew it was perfect for me after the first workout. It was the perfect combination of a short workout with high intensity. I always feel so accomplished after each workout even though it's such a small amount of time. I never feel like it's too intimidating that I can't fit it into my schedule. And it's always something different each day, so I'm not getting bored mentally or physically. The trainers add enough structure and motivation that push you to do better without feeling too in your face. It's finally a workout that I can stick with want to do on a daily basis. Plus it's always nice to get to punch a few things without getting in trouble.

  • Absolutely can’t say enough great things about my 9R locations! Love how the trainers are always so encouraging and supportive and have been able to modify workouts for my individual needs (from chemotherapy treatment, broken bones and now a tendon/ligament injury). The trainers are so knowledgeable and helpful and really want to see members succeed and meet their goals. My 12 year old daughter is now also a member and the confidence and skills she’s developed are a direct result of the trainers attention, support and expertise of her 9R trainers! She’s a 9rounder for life! We love our Louisville Ky locations (St Matthews, Chamberlain, Middletown) and each and every trainer at all locations. We are thankful for 9Rounds!

    Matthew ""The Fighting Irish"" Hegele
    Matthew is a Louisville native who has brought his skill and knowledge of kickboxing to the St. Matthews community. Matthew has a black belt in Tae Kwon Do, a black belt in Judo, as well as multiple years of kickboxing experience. Not only is he a trainer at 9Round, but he is also the owner/operator. His commitment to building relationships with his members is his biggest motivation!

    Brandon Pitts
    Brandon is a native Louisvillian with a passion for sports since a very young age. Brandon holds a Bachelor Degree in Exercise Science from Western Kentucky University, has over 75 hours of psychology education and experience, and is certified in Personal Training by ACSM with 3 years of experience. In the near future, he plans to receive a Masters Degree in Physical Therapy from the University of Kentucky. Brandon joined the 9Round team in August 2016 and was immediately captivated by the environment and the people that come in to knock out a workout. His energy and attitude translate very well into his passion for helping people achieve their fitness goals. Known to be the "hype man" and the "proper form police", he will always be nearby to motivate and help you maximize your workout so that you achieve your desired results.
