Owners and Certified Trainers Lynnette and Perry Spinelli are thrilled to bring the 1st 9Round to Wilmington. After many years of involvement with 9Ro...und as members in the Charlotte market, Lynnette and Perry found the 9Round experience to be a perfect fit for their busy lifestyle and experienced many health and fitness benefits from consistent participation in the workouts. Lynnette went on to become a trainer and eventually manager of a gym in the Charlotte area, allowing her to combine her healthcare and teaching background with her passion for health and wellness. She firmly believes that 9Round offers a workout program for anyone and is determined to create a gym environment that is fun and engaging, one where members want to come back and "get in, get addicted and get fit" so they can experience the great health benefits of a sound exercise program. Bringing 9Round to Wilmington has allowed the Spinellis to relocate to an area they love and you will see one or both of them daily, working the gym floor, interacting with and encouraging their fantastic members. Courtney fell in love with 9Round the moment she finished her first workout. Shortly after becoming a member, she became a certified 9Round trainer in... Laguna Niguel, California. Originally from Orange County, California, Courtney is excited to be a part of the Wilmington, NC 9Round team and help others gain confidence and knock out their goals with 9Round. When she's not in the gym she can be found spending time with her family either cheering on her daughter at the soccer or softball field, swimming at the beach or just hanging out in the backyard. Aryn is thrilled to be part of the 9Round team! Her background teaching Physical Education and Health led her to group fitness and personal training a...nd now she is thrilled to bring the best of both worlds together. Aryn brings enthusiasm and knowledge to every workout she coaches! She loves to break down different movements, and teach people how to enhance or modify their routine to feel safe, strong and successful! Aryn also values the personal connections made through fitness. Every workout should feel challenging and fun and Aryn takes great pride in in helping members feel energized, proud of their hard work and dedicated to achieving their fitness goals. Outside the gym, Aryn's favorite things include exploring National Parks with her husband, NFL RedZone, the Marvel Universe and RocknRoll! More
Falling in love with sports at a very young age, fitness quickly became a lifestyle for Tim. As a three sport athlete in high school, Tim found himsel...f experimenting with various forms of workouts and training. This is where he found his love for Mixed Martial Arts and began training with amateur cage fighters at a gym in his hometown of Durham, NC. After being a member at numerous boxing gyms in Wilmington, he knew he found his home after his first 9Round workout. It was a natural transition from member to trainer. Tim looks forward every day to engaging with members in a workout he truly believes in. More
After playing organized sports in her school years, Meagan looked for new ways to challenge herself physically. She found her passion with kickboxing ...and spent the majority of her time training for competition. Meagan then found 9Round and fell in love with the positive energy and atmosphere. Julia is a senior at UNCW and grew up playing a variety of sports, her favorites being softball and volleyball. Julia was a member of a Charlotte area... 9Round for more than 4 years, utilizing the 9Round fitness program as a way to stay in shape during her off seasons. Her smile is sweet but she will push you to your full potential and she loves to do pad work that will have you smiling, but totally challenged! More
Shane is a retired Marine who started training in Martial Arts at the age of 9. He holds multiple belts and certifications in Martial Arts, Defensive... Tactics, and fitness. Shane believes our bodies have unlimited potential and finds joy in helping others achieve their goals. More
Matt began playing sports at the age of 5 and has been around athletics ever since. He graduated from East Carolina University with a degree as a Heal...th Fitness Specialist. He is also an ACSM certified personal trainer. Matt’s favorite part about training is it gives him a chance to impact other people’s lives and help them reach their goals. His favorite part about 9Round is the trainer drills! When he’s not at the gym you can catch him playing beach volleyball or floating in the ocean. More
Hannah graduated from UNCW with a degree in exercise science. Her background in gymnastics and various team sports inspired her to pursue a career in ...physical education and health. She is passionate about fitness and loves spending time in the gym training members and working out. Her favorite part about 9Round is the community! She also enjoys encouraging members to push themselves so they always get a killer workout! More
Emily is a Wilmington native. She is studying social work at UNC Wilmington and plans to go on to receive her masters in social work once she graduate...s. Emily grew up as an athlete with a love for soccer. She gained interest in boxing back in 2018 and has been dedicated to it ever since. Her love for fitness and seeing others achieve their goals is why she loves being a trainer. “There’s no better feeling than helping others reach their full potential.” More
