About the team
Hello Friends! I am one of the managers here at 9Round Woodhaven. I am also a Certified 9Round Trainer after attending the Master Trainer Bootcamp and... completing Kickboxology training. I graduated from Wayne State with a degree in Biological Sciences and have always sought to help people achieve their personal goals through hard work. I am a firm believer in fitness being fun, so don't be surprised if you see me dancing & joking around the gym! More

Josh is one of our managers here at 9 Round Woodhaven. As well as being a Certified 9 Round Trainer and Certified Personal Trainer, he is also an acti...ve MMA fighter, kickboxer, and BJJ practitioner. After playing hockey for 18 years he transitioned to weight lifting and martial arts as a way to stay busy and fell in love immediately. Now he's taking that knowledge and passionately sharing it with anyone who is willing to learn! More

I am enjoying my new experience at 9 rounds! I get in and get out in 40 minutes and I can go ANYTIME i want! I LOVE this concept!! I am learning how to hit and kick a little better. My recommendat... ions would be to have the trainers train. I would love for them to encourage me if I am doing the moves right or especially wrong. Sometimes I am not quick enough to remember the steps and when they instruct and leave, I may of not got it right. Although I keep on moving (wrong or right) I would love for them to "train" me and come back and correct. Another thing is to cheer me and others on. I love the trainers at woodhaven for the most part. One girl doesn't seem to enthused and basically seems very unhappy. I would love if the trainers would get more involved. I came from a gym where there was a huge community. So not only did I have great trainers but the other members cheered me on and helped me get better. I also never knew about CHOW until I believe the owner was there. I am not sure what the points mean, when I sign in, if I should or it doesn't matter. Just some overall lack of knowledge of the procedures. I would also love videos or workshops on how to hit the various bags, how to make sure I am kicking correctly, what weight I should use if I want more muscle,etc. Anyway, I hope these suggestions are taken constructively.
