CC is one of the main reasons 9Round South Loop became a reality. He's a man of many talents...winner of several Golden Gloves amateur competitions in his age group, youth boxing/fitness coach for the Chicago Park District and owner of Gordy's barbershop in Hyde Park. Before 9R, CC was a highly-regarded personal trainer with an emphasis on boxing ("his thing") and mentor/instructor at the CYC Chicago Youth Centers' after-school program teaching fitness, boxing and chess.

Jack is a NASM certified trainer who understands the science behind the 9ROUND system and is adept at communicating its form and function. He's also a University of Illinois grad (UIUC) with degrees in Finance and Business Administration. His 9Round experience includes training at the company's HQ in Simpsonville, SC and 9R Kickboxology certifications.

After playing college football and track, Darien continued his career with a focus on fitness and education. He started boxing in 2016; joined 9Round West Loop as a kick-boxing trainer in 2019 and transitioned to 9Round South Loop Spring 2022. Darien's motto is "Trust the Process" which he applies to everything he does from helping 9R members reach their fitness goals to guiding students as a teacher, varsity football and track and field coach at Walter H Dyett High School in Washington Park. Most recently, Darien is honored to have been chosen to lead 2 of 8 sessions in the first year of cardio-kickboxing at the popular Millennium Park Summer Workout series offered by the City of Chicago.

Joe is a senior at Columbia College Chicago, majoring in film with a focus on cinematography. He started as a 9Round South Loop member with a special interest in boxing and skills to match. He put his skills to the the test at the 2022 Golden Gloves tournament in Chicago and he plans to film this year's competition, combining his two favorite interests. Stop by 9Round evenings and weekends to workout with Joe and help him get ready to RUMBLE!

Bailey Bauer is a senior attending Columbia College Chicago where he majors in photography and hopes to become a photojournalist. Fitness has always been an important part of Bailey's life. Growing up, he especially liked UFC events and today, mixed martial arts is his favorite sport. Before 9Round, his fitness experience included competitive swimming, track and field, and football. He started boxing training with JOJO, and since become a 9R certified trainer in his own right.

MK has a background in corporate retail marketing and was an adjunct professor at Columbia College Chicago. She moved to the South Loop in 2013 and in 2018 decided to open a business combining three of her favorite things: the neighborhood, small business and kickboxing. Her path to 9Round started as a birthday present from her Favorite Oldest Child (9R gear and workout passes) and led to the opening of 9Round’s 5th location in Chicago.

Booking your first-time workout at our gym is easy! Just click here and fill in your information, pick your preferred date, and you’re all set to sweat!

For your first workout at 9Round Chicago, IL - South Loop, we recommend arriving 10-15 minutes before your appointment time to fill out a wavier and tour the studio before you start your workout. Please wear comfortable athletic clothes and tennis shoes.

We’ll provide you with the proper kickboxing equipment for your first workout, including gloves. A trainer will be guiding you through your entire 30-minute workout.
