About the team
I enjoy fitness because it makes me strong, healthy, and happy. My preferred fitness style is boxing and kickboxing. I was introduced to boxing throug...h a colleague. Boxing got me into good physical and mental shape. I eventually started taking kickboxing classes because I wanted additional lower body workout. I enjoy the challenge of incorporating kicks into my combinations. Through boxing and kickboxing I meet great friends who train me and spend time with me inside and outside of the gym. I want members of 9Round to gain similar experience. My goals for our members are: 1) Learn correct technique and form in their exercises 2) Get into shape and improve health 3) Improve dexterity and balance 4) Have fun and make friends who share similar interests I look forward to assist 9Rounders! With both parents athletically inclined, my path of fitness started at an early age. This began with studying martial arts at age 4 continuing into te...am sports and wrestling in high school. I work on calisthenics and parkour on a regular basis, and for fun I practice circus arts and acrobatics. I hold two black belts in Tang Soo Do and Kenjutsu and have expanded my passion for fitness as a certified personal trainer. A positive attitude with a strong belief in no limitations. This is what I live by and I encourage my clients to see the value in this as well as having fun along the way. More
Mike is the Operations Director for 9Round Irvine, 9Round Anaheim, and 9Round Brea. He also helps as a Trainer at all the gyms. Mike loves the 9Round ...workout and fun atmosphere in a busy 9Round club. He began training in boxing, kickboxing, and mixed martial arts at the age of 17, and has many years of experience as a certified personal trainer. He has also competed as an amateur Golden Gloves boxer and acted as a sparring partner for competing MMA fighters. Prior to moving to Orange County in 2017 he worked as a Trainer/Manager at 9Round clubs in Houston, and before that he worked 9 years in the field of emergency and disaster management. Mike is also active as a real estate agent, and holds 2 bachelors degrees and a master's degree in the fields of sociology, emergency/disaster management, and public administration, graduating Magna Cum Laude every time. His major focus now is on business operations management, sales, and marketing. He lives in Irvine. More

I grew up playing all sports in the neighborhood and competitively. After high-school football I took a hiatus from health and fitness and shot up to ...240 pounds. Over the last 5 years I have dedicated myself to living a healthy lifestyle. 2 years ago I started training friends and family and am certified through ACE. I believe martial arts to be one of the best forms of fitness that always leaves you feeling good at the end of a session. More
Growing up as a multi-sport athlete playing football, soccer and baseball is how I gained a passion for fitness. I’ve spent countless hours training a...nd helping younger athletes train to get in shape. In my early high school days I implemented boxing into my training as a way to stay in shape as an athlete and I’m now excited to help other people do the same. I look forward to training with everybody and having fun along the way. More

What I like best about 9Round is there's no class times, so no matter what time I get there during their hours I start when I'm ready. The staff are all friendly and knowledgeable. The members you ge... t to know on a first name basis. And when it's busy or there is a first time workout client I can move to the next round and just read what I'm doing without interrupting anyone else. We also help each other out of needed. Convenience. My wife and I both work and have children, so we need to make time for to help with kids homework and make dinner in the evenings.
