Carla"Big Shot" and Ryan "Bones" White, pictured here with 9Round founder and CEO, Shannon "The Cannon" Hudson, are the owners of 9Round Middletown. B...oth Carla and Ryan are certified 9Round trainers and have been athletes playing on various sports teams throughout their lives. Carla is also a certified special education teacher. She combines her love for teaching, sports and exercise to help members reach their potential and crush their personal fitness goals. Ryan's passion for fitness comes from his time as a collegiate athlete. Nicole is a NASM Certified Personal Trainer, Certified in Reiki Level II, 9Round Certified Trainer and a Spin Instructor. This is what Nicole had t...o say "I have a passion for helping others on their fitness journey. Teaching them this journey is life long and to never let the bumps in the road end that journey." Nicole is married with a teenage son. In her free time she loves finding new adventures like hiking new trails and going on road trips. Mark is a Certified NASM Personal Trainer, 9Round Trainer, USA Boxing Coach, and Black Belt in Tang Soo Do. Mark is also a Retired Law Enforcement Off...icer and Served as a Technical Sargent in the US Air Force. Mark loves the 9Round concept, thinks its an effective, efficient, fun workout and loves to "push the tempo". Mark lives in the area with his two children!! More

I am a fitness enthusiast who is also knee deep in the medical field. I go to Central Connecticut State University for Athletic Training, am a certifi...ed EMT, and have observed multiple surgeries including two knee surgeries, and a few shoulder surgeries. I enjoy watching and playing sports of all kinds, especially football. My philosophy is, you will get out what you put in, so come in and work your butt off each and every workout. I thrive on the success of others and try to help transform all of my members to the best versions of themselves. More

Matt "The Maniac" is our Saturday morning energetic and enthusiastic Pad - Man. Matt was a 9Round member before becoming a trainer. He loves pushing p...eople to be their best!! Matt is a black belt and loves to hike, bike, snowboard and do "just about anything crazy that you can almost hurt yourself." During the day Matt is an IT engineer at LEGO. Matt is married with 4 dogs and lives a stones throw away from the club!! More

I'm one of those people who go to a regular gym and don't know what to do. I workout much better and see more results when there is a trainer telling me what to do (I mean who would do burpees without... someone directly saying do them). Joining 9Round has been the best best experience, the trainers are all awesome and I actually enjoy working out when I used to think it was so boring when I was going to a regular gym. The online workouts were great when I hit the point during the winter where I didn't want to leave my apartment so it's been really nice to have that as an option too. Although now I'm back in the gym and it is much more fulfilling to punch and actual bag than the air. Nicole the Manager/Trainer. She is great trainer and knows each and everyone of us and our limitations. She provides the one-on-one guidance so that we get the fullest workout on every round. Never ... disappointed when she is there. Mark, Shaun and Jason are very good as well and since I only come in the mornings, that is who I know best. The overall 9Round 30 minute workout is a great experience no matter your age or experience! It works! You have been good to provide what is needed during the Covid-19 Pandemic, both during online opportunities when the state was closed down and now during the regulations for re-opening. I love the workout, it’s different and more fun than your typical gym workout. The short 3 minute rounds are really great in keeping me focused and motivated. The trainers are very helpful, they keep ... the workout fun and engaging, while still giving me a good workout. The trainers also do a great job at cleaning all the equipment down and keeping people separated during the workout so I feel very safe the whole time. Although I’ve only been going here for a little over a month, every workout I’ve had here has been great and although I’m very tired afterwards, I always look forward to coming back. It's a fast, highly effective workout that is self-motivating, but with a trainer on hand to give you a boost or challenge you when you need. Until 9Round, I'd never found a workout that I loved that... helped me lose fat and gain muscle.
